free ALDI meal plan october 2017

Here’s your easy weekly ALDI meal plan for the week of 10/1/17: Pick up everything on the shopping list below, then start cooking on Sunday.

*** Subscribe to the weekly ALDI meal plans here ***

Bonus -- you'll end up with a couple of ingredient leftovers this week

You'll end up this week with half a package of bite-sized salami leftover, as well as half a brick of cream cheese, some mandarins, and some green onions. Need ideas for how to use these?

  • Use the salami and mandarins in homemade copycat Lunchables for your child's lunch -- you'll just need to add crackers and cheese!
  • Use the cream cheese in something like creamy tomato hummus soup -- or just jazz up your breakfast toast or bagel.
  • Use the green onions on salads, or throw some on the pizza we're making this week.

Enjoy! 🙂

But back to this week's ALDI meal plan...

Let's get ready to make six complete dinners for a family of four, just $60.00 out the door! Hope you find the free ALDI meal plans useful.

*** Download this week's shopping list in Word format so that you can edit and add in your own meal ideas, remove items you already have on hand, change regional pricing to match your own store, etc. *** The day(s) next to each item show which meals use each ingredient, so that you can easily see what to delete from the shopping list if you're skipping a night.

Things to know about the ALDI meal plans

A couple of notes

  1. I try not to repeat main dish recipes more often than once a month, but you will see favorite easy recipes come up again in these weekly ALDI meal plans as the same meats and produce items come up again on sale. Part of the fun of meal planning lies in mixing old stand-bys with something new each week.
  2. If one or more of these recipes isn't to your taste, or if you have other ingredients to use, adapt the recipes in this ALDI meal plan to your family’s preferences -- or just use the ideas here to supplement your own meal planning.

Ad markets and dates

This week's ALDI meal plan reflects prices from the current week’s ad (running 9/24-9/30 in Sunday ad markets and 9/27-10/3 in Wednesday ad markets). Non-advertised prices were collected on 9/27/17 at my local store in the Chicago suburbs, but non-advertised prices and produce deals *may vary* by location & region. In either ad market, shop any time through Saturday and start cooking on Sunday 10/1/17.

  1. I happened upon your blog this weekend. I was really dreading coming up with one more grocery list and one more week of meals. Then I found this and it energized me and now I am looking forward to starting this tonight. Thank you for doing this!

  2. FYI, I'm thinking the pueblo Linda chopped green chiles are regional too. I feel like I KNOW I have seen them a while ago but not since then. Not a big seller in our market and they pulled them maybe? Also could not find Lunch Mate bite sized salami (but I just got the lunch meat kind to chop).

    1. Glad you found a salami substitute! That is strange on the chopped green chiles -- I have seen them always as a regular (not special limited time) buy in every ALDI I've been in. Generally right near their version of Rotel.

      1. I couldn't find the green chilies either... I wandered around the store for a good so minutes. Since our store just reopened two days prior I thought they were hidden... nope. Oh well.

LOVE your meals! You are my hero!

      2. I was going to ask the cashier but he was a new trainee. It's weird that Chicago would have them but Western NY wouldn't. Also we don't have those 33 cent tortillas - we have giant bags of Pueblo Linda corn tortillas (tomato, to-mah-to). We do have the cans of chipotle peppers near the rotel!

      3. That is weird -- I've been buying them at mine for years, and it seemed like one of those basic items. Tortillas aren't an ALDI brand, so it makes sense that those would vary by area.

  3. This is my second week following your plans and recipes and everything has been delicious! Thank you so much for the time and effort you put into this. Your recipes are so flavorful and we have loved them all. Thank you!

  4. Thank you so much for all you do! Its so nice to open the fridge or pantry and everything is right there to make my dinners. Whew the pressure is off. Love every meal so far!!!

  5. I am obsessed with your meal planning... only thing, I can't get the page for the Simple Lemon Green Beans to load so I don't have the recipe.

  6. Yesssssssssss! Thank you! You have made my life so much easier with your meal plans. I am only 2 weeks in and I want addicted!

  7. When I lived in Binghamton New York I shopped in Aldi’s Every week now I live in Daphne Alabama and there is no Aldi’s only in northern Alabama I am southern Alabama I wish you could open a store here I Really miss Aldi’s. PLEASE open up a store here I am 6 miles from Mobile Alabama. Thank You
