Did you all catch the family packs of chicken drumsticks in this week’s ad at $.99 a pound? Since food prices are still higher than they should be, here are a few recipe ideas to help you take advantage of this sale. Stock up, and enjoy the variety.

I finally repotted my ALDI aloe, and it’s soooo very happy about that — it’s been taking off recently, and so healthy and lovely. True confessions, though: This is actually my second aloe vera plant from ALDI, as the first from years back got chewed up and knocked over by one of our feline friends. Pick up your own little aloe plant this week, at $4.49.
Oh gosh, while we’re doing true confessions: I actually don’t like Hawaiian bread or bagels, myself. BUT, I know that many of you (and many of your kids) really do. So, L’Oven Fresh mini Hawaiian bagels have to sneak their way into this week’s top 5, and you’ll pay $2.79 for an 18 oz bag.
Last, but definitely not least, how about a Huntington Home children’s cooling weighted blanket for $19.99. These come in several different colors in either 5- or 8-lb weight, with a removable machine washable cover. This is such a good idea — I love my own (adult) weighted blanket from ALDI, but it does get pretty hot during the summer. The option of a cooling cover sounds just fantastic.
