Welcome back to Caturday with the Notorious BKL and Friends! Let me start out by asking you this: Is there anything quite as peaceful to look upon as a sleepy kitten? But again, they’re much like human toddlers in that their built-in cuteness is nature’s defense mechanism to help offset their troublemaking skills and allow them to survive into adulthood.
Although to be fair, Bad Kitty Gnocchi was somewhat more subdued than usual for all of a day or so after her little visit to the vet this week (because one kitten is quite enough for this family!).
I must say, though, that the letter with the discharge instructions from the vet’s office was one of the funniest things I’ve ever read — it’s like they have never met a kitten before. “Restrict activity. No running, jumping, rough play, or stairs for 14 days after surgery. Walking only.” Seriously? If anyone has ideas on how to enforce that, I’m all ears, since now she’s bouncing around like nothing ever happened. Ahhh, to be young again…
OK, this is the last sleepy kitten photo, I promise — but just look at that little face!
But not to be outdone, here’s the Notorious Bad Kitty Lucy posing as well. “Look at me! I’m cute too!” 🙂
While in her spare time, BKL continues egging BKG on in her bad kitten ways. What’s for dinner? OH, I had nothing to do with this… there’s nothing to see here… please move along.
(Remind me to wash the Instant Pot thoroughly before using it next time. The outside too; I’m not sure what’s going on there! Oh, and I should mention that if you need a new yet cat-free Instant Pot yourself, the same model I have is currently $109.99 at Kohls — but $76.99 shipped for cardholders with code SUNSET30 + $10 Kohl’s Cash back = net $66.99. )
Meanwhile, it looks like Jeremy has now reached the stage in missing High School Guy that he may soon require an intervention. Or an exorcism!
And in non-cat-related news this week, remember how last week I told you that we had a garage sale on Friday? My neighbor held one the next day, and Mr. 10 (who is very into card and magic tricks right now) went over there and came back to show me this “funny cartoon deck of cards!” he’d picked up for a quarter. Just what every ten-year-old boy needs in his collection, right? Call me a bad mom, but these may have disappeared overnight when he wasn’t paying attention. 🙂
How’s your own Caturweek (or Cat-Free week) going?
That’s about it for this week’s Caturday: Let me know how your week was!
And are you with me on this deck of cards? lol
