ALDI now takes credit cards and a giveaway to celebrate!

In case you missed the big news: ALDI is now accepting credit cards! You can use your Visa, Discover, MasterCard, or American Express card at all U.S. ALDI stores nationwide as of March 1, 2016.
March 1, 2016 – We heard you, ALDI fans! You’ve been asking about credit cards for a while now, and we’ve decided to finally make Simply Smarter Shopping… simpler. Starting today, you can swipe your way to savings. And don’t worry – we’re still dedicated to keeping your grocery cart full and your wallet even fuller. Our acceptance of credit cards will have no impact on the prices you pay for the ALDI products you love.
I paid with my Visa card at ALDI for the first time last week, and it almost felt naughty, lol. But what great news, especially for those of us who bank credit card rewards or don't like to carry cash. Options, it's good to have options!

Been meaning to try the newer Aldi on Clybourn in the city, but just never seem to get around to it. A gift certificate and the ability to use a card would be enough incentive to get me in there!
I haven't used credit cards yet at Aldi, but I'm glad they do now. It helps since I don't use debt card and sometimes I don't have enough cash on me if I come across a good clearance sale.

I love love love this!!!! I've used mine already, and it was exciting. We use a Shell rewards cc to budget and earn cheaper gas, since my husband is only paid once per month! It's so nice to be able to shop there again!

I have used my credit card already! I'm wondering why Aldi decided to accept them now. Not accepting credit cards had always been one of their "ways we save you money." They must be making a ton of money to deviate from one of their mottos.

I was shopping with my husband and completely forgot and when he went to swipe the credit card I started to tell him we needed the debit card. It was great to be able to use either card.
