Caturday with the Notorious BKL and Friends -- Chanukat Edition

Welcome to a Chanukat Caturday with the Notorious BKL and Friends! Cats deserve presents too, right? I found this cool cat scratching playhouse at ALDI for $7.99 (which included the house, the toy ball, the scratching pads, and catnip!), and Mr. 10 and The Notorious Bad Kitty Lucy spent a pleasant afternoon assembling it earlier this week.

Cats are in the house!

All three cats have been quite pleased with their gift this year, although poor Jeremy never gets to hold onto it for very long. Note his expression after BKL stole it from him (and also note who's lurking in the window in the very top image here!).

Miss BKG is especially taken with the jingly ball door toy, in her kittenish way, and she's been playing with it incessantly no matter who is in the house. (BKL barely tolerates it; Jeremy gets up and leaves.)

Kitten vs Dinosaur

The kids also dug out this ancient robotic dinosaur this week -- I think it was a gift to High School Guy when he was about 5, so it's a miracle it still works. Bad Kitten Gnocchi definitely does not approve.

All of this activity can wear a cat out...

Eventually all the cat fighting and dino fighting wears a girl out, though... and then all is forgiven. Are you sleepy just looking at this? Because I am...

And when you're sleepy, there's really nothing better than a good bedtime story.
