Vegas recap, baby

So, I’m reporting in from Vegas! Does this count as frugal? I signed up for the hotel’s free rewards card thing to earn points, and they gave me a free $5.00 credit to play the slot machines… Look, a coupon! 😉

So, that only took me about 20 seconds to lose! 🙂

This place is amazing. I haven’t been here for 10 years, so didn’t remember just how overwhelming everything is — or how quickly the money can go. We’re down about $75 from last night, but it could be a lot worse — that was several hours of entertainment! And, I now know how to play Texas Hold Em (so now know what all the spam is about…?) but am still completely baffled by craps. We’re staying at the Imperial Palace, where they have dealer celebrity impersonators that occasionally get up and sing. Last night it was Fergie, Rihanna, Billy Idol, Elvis… Here’s Billy, but my little cell phone photo didn’t come out so well.

Last night we ate at The Palm, which was so good. Tonight we’re seeing the Cirque du Soleil LOVE show. I’m so excited! Thanks to everyone who wished me a happy vacation! I think I could just people watch here all day, it’s better than an airport. 🙂
