RIP Emma-cat

emma-cat

My matchups pal Emma is no longer with us today -- she was over 18 (a kitten the year we got married!). Here's Emma this past April... and early this morning. She had a good life, and I'll miss her. She liked nothing better than to hang out and help me work (and rub her face all over my coffee cup when I wasn't paying attention), so the deals may not be as good without her. 🙁

  1. 🙁 Oh I'm very sorry Rachel. (And here I was asking specifically about cat deals just yesterday...) Losing a part of your family is never easy, even when you kind of know it's coming at such an advanced age.

  2. So sorry for your loss, Rachel! I am glad she lived a nice long life. You will definitely miss her while you are reading the paper---my kitty always walked all over mine, too. 🙂 Maybe a few bites of snickers-pumpkin bar will help...

  3. I'm sorry to hear! My cat is 15 years old and after that long they're a very close member of the family. Glad you were at least able to enjoy that many hears with her!

  4. SO sorry for your loss. Even at an advanced age its still too soon. Always too soon. I had two cats and a dog that crossed the rainbow bridge and I think of them every day. I currently have two dogs, one of which is fighting cancer. I have a daily posts on FB about their antics and his progress. He's doing remarkable but..........Anyway my heart breaks for you and your family. Please find comfort that you gave her a great life and were a wonderful Mom to her. Take care.

  11. Dear Rachel and Family, I am very sorry for the loss of your beautiful Emma cat. She is not gone, just up in Heaven cutting coupons and sharing her memories of you with the other kitties.

  12. So sorry for your loss. She was beautiful! As a fellow cat lover, my heart aches for you. Pets are such a wonderful blessing and it's so hard to lose them. Hugs to the Mashup family!

  13. This was the hardest thing I've ever done myself. We said goodbye to our cocker 2 weeks ago, he was 14. Unbelievable pain. You realize how much joy they gave you, and it just tears you up. It's the hardest decision, especially when your heart just wants them to be with you forever, and your brain is telling you, it's time to let them go. My thoughts are with you and the family.

  14. Dear Rachel, I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm sharing a tear with you as I sit here with one of my 3 kittycats on my lap. I hope you can open your heart to another furry loved one again soon. There are so many sweet cats out there that need some love.
