Products that make me mad -- Yoplait Whips
So I was at Ultra Foods the other day taking advantage of their big Yoplait yogurt sale. They were out of the light cups so I went with "whips," which I'd never purchased before. HUGE MISTAKE. Check this out:
- Yoplait light yogurt? six ounces
- Yoplait whips? four ounces
Yes: You get a third less product for the same price -- and it appears to simply be Yoplait light yogurt that they have simply whipped up so it's full of air. Stir, and it collapses like a souffle into four ounces of real yogurt. Nice trick, Yoplait! Not only that, the texture is completely off. I don't like it. The kids don't like it. Good thing I have 10 more cups...

Yoplait Whips is my crack. Everyone hated them but I love them, Whips has in general ruined all other yogurt. Keep the Whips coming!
I just tried my first whip and I love it. I had the Greek Coconut Macaroon and it was delicious. I'll be getting more, and I will try every flavor. Thanks Yoplait!
The whips is so, so, so good. But id much rather just go for the light. Has more ounces and less calories.
I use to eat your vanilla yogurt, buying the large container. I got tired of the same old flavor, so I got the chocolate whip and I was hooked. I have been buying them every since, but I will no longer buy them. I hate buying them in those small containers costing me money to dispose of them and filling our land with all those little cups so I will not buy any more of your chocolate yogurt until you sale it in the bigger tubs, like the vanilla. I will be looking for them in the bigger tubs, and I look forward to eating your yogurt again
I love the Whips! I am really disappointed I can not find the Cherry Cheesecake flavor at my local grocers anymore. I really like it drizzled on a fruit Salad. I do not care for the texture of regular yogurt. It reminds me of sugar flavored sour cream. Would you grab the sour cream tub out of your fridge and just start eating large spoonfuls of it?? Probably Not!

I wish they would sell more varieties of whips in the local stores...one could argue that the reason the stores have limited stock is because of available space, however, the whips are always sold out, so, maybe if they move some of the other brands that don't sell as quickly out of the way, there would be more room for the variety of whips us whip lovers crave
My favorite Yoplait whips are strawberry, raspberry and orange crepe. Please ad blueberry flavor to the mix. Whips are my favorite dessert!
I agree with Rachel. I too bought whips many years ago and was aghast when the volume decreased by nearly half when stirred a bit. Whether it is marketed as 4 oz or 6 oz, it comes in the same size packaging as their regular yogurt and costs the same so you are indeed getting less for the same price. It felt sneaky to pump something up with air to increase the volume and basically charge the consumer for air. I never bought it again.

It clearly says on the label that it's 4 ozs, so it's not like they're intentionaly tricking you or something. It is whipped, and knowing that, anything whipped IS going to be full of air.. AND why would you stir it? There isn't any fruit on the bottom.
