Where have I been all afternoon? Well, there was reading to a dog...

I'm back... did you miss me? 😉 It was a crazy afternoon of driving kids hither and yon, culminating in this incredibly adorable "read to the dogs" program at the library. Mr. 9 was in love with Jesse James here, and it's such a cool idea.

What's the neatest program you've ever been to at your library?

  1. kids loved science experiments at our library a few years back. they got to put feet in a chocolate pool and guess what else was in the pool

  2. *Sigh* I <3 <3 <3 the library! My library had a monthly gardening program with guest speakers that I really enjoyed, but there were no helper dogs...

  3. Lake Villa library is awesome! They have read to a dog program for kids also but my kids were too big by the time they introduced it. Wonderful programs for kids, teens and adults! I loved one for adults where Abraham Lincoln and Mary Todd Lincoln impersonators came for a reinactment.
Another favorite is when an Astronomy Club comes with their telescopes, and they let you look through them and they talk about what to look for, etc. I love my library!

    1. My mom used to do those library programs with her astronomy club! (In Washington State, though 🙂 ) -- she said people always really enjoyed them.
