This post and giveaway have been sponsored by ALDI. All opinions here, however, are my own.

I really appreciate the moves ALDI has been making towards healthier offerings in their stores, from the new SimplyNature line of products, to more organic produce, to removing hydrogenated oils, artificial colors, and added MSG from their exclusive brands. So, I also appreciated the opportunity to try out this Whole Grain Spaghetti with Turkey Sausage, Goat Cheese, Peppers and Onions recipe Bon Appetit executive chef Mary Nolan shared on ALDI's blog this past December.

Every ingredient for this lightened up recipe came from ALDI, from the whole grain spaghetti to the sweet Italian turkey sausage.

Whole Grain Spaghetti with Turkey Sausage, Goat Cheese, Peppers and Onions was simple to re-create in my own kitchen. (Although the turkey sausage comes in 20 oz packages and the recipe calls for two pounds so you'll end up with too much or too little; it would have been fine with just one 20 oz pack, if you're planning to make at home.) I never thought of using giardiniera in a pasta recipe, so that was a different twist -- but now I have the rest of the jar to use for sandwiches & Italian beef, bonus! 😉
