What does the fox say?

We checked this cute book out of the library yesterday called Wild Eats and Adorable Treats: 40 Animal-Inspired Meals and Snacks for Kids. It really is adorable, and Mr. 9 has been flipping through to bookmark things he wants to make. This afternoon's project was inspired the "Foxy Fruit Snack," except Mr. 9 wanted his fox to be "on an island surrounded by fish." OK, done! 🙂

Our version isn't as polished, but my hungry helper was in a hurry -- and super pleased with the result, so that's what counts. I'd recommend the book as a great gift idea for someone with picky kids, too: The meals & treats are cute, healthy, fun to make with kids, and easily adaptable to ingredients you have on hand, while animal facts throughout add interest. Great reviews on Amazon.
