Microchipped and more: Caturday with the Notorious BKL and Friends

Welcome back to Caturday with the Notorious BKL and Friends, microchipped and more edition! Yes, Miss Escape Artist Lucy took a little trip to the vet recently — but it hasn’t slowed her down one bit.

Happy Caturday, everyone! It’s been a month since the last update on our house full of bad kitties, so let’s spend another Caturday with the Notorious BKL and Friends: microchipped and more edition. Yes, the Notorious Bad Kitty Lucy took a little trip over to the vet recently to get herself microchipped and up-to-date on vaccinations — because we figured that before moving her to a new home, we’d better be safe.

Microchipped and More

She’s never a fan of the car, this one. Luckily the vet was about 3 minutes away, because she yowled her head off the entire way there. Once I let her out of the carrier, though: The Notorious Bad Kitty Lucy turned into the undisputed queen of the vet, just as surely as she is queen of our home. She investigated every inch of the exam room and every person that came in, without a single ounce of fear.

She was less a fan, though, of the antiseptic they wiped on her fur before the whole microchipping process. Once we got home, BKL spent an inordinate amount of time alternating between cleaning herself off and glaring at me.

All is now forgiven!

Never fear however: It appears that all is now forgiven. I mean, what’s better than a giant Baby Yoda Squishmallow + a sunbeam?

Well, OK… maybe the infamous Pendleton blanket from Costco runs a close second. She has a pretty good life, vets and all. And yes, this is an all-Bad-Kitty-Lucy Caturday. We do indeed have another cats, but she deserves the spotlight after her ordeal. 😉

So, how’s your Caturday?

How’s your own Caturday (or cat free week) progressing? We’ve just been busy, busy, busy here: Gymnastics season is in full swing, as are some more never-ending home remodeling projects — and everything else that needs to get done as we start merging two households together. But, it’s a fun busy! As always, be sure to tune in next time for the latest in the exciting ongoing Caturday adventures of the Notorious BKL and Friends.

She is a beautiful cat! My cats don't like getting in the carrier at all! Poor kitties! Glad Lucy is feeling better and you have been forgiven!
