Just hanging out: Caturday with the Notorious BKL and Friends

Welcome back to Caturday with the Notorious BKL and Friends, hanging out edition. Because cats are most comfortable just hanging out: With or without their people.

It’s another Caturday with the Notorious BKL and Friends: Hanging out edition. Speaking of hanging out, it might be hard to believe, but did you know that Gnocchi’s nickname when she was younger was actually TINY CAT (or Ty-Ty for short)? I’m not even making that up!

Well, to be honest, many of us do tend to get a little wider as we get older… And if she fits in my laptop box, she sits in my laptop box.

Hanging out on Caturday

Speaking of hanging out, Jeremy is always so happy when his boy is home from college. You know how some cats get all mad when you touch their bellies? Not Jeremy: His boy can hold him like a sock puppet, and he’ll just be the happiest cat in the world.

As for The Notorious Bad Kitty Lucy (BKL), on the other hand… well, isn’t a big box of Cheez-Its pretty much the perfect place for any cat to hang out? It’s a box, AND it’s crunchy. She spent way too much time in there before I got around to rehoming the remaining packages, because if she fits… BKL always made quite sure to stomp around a little, too, in order to crush as many crackers as possible and live up to her “bad kitty” moniker.

Where else does she fits? How about on the comics that College Guy was just about to read — and gosh, she’s lucky she’s cute. (But, look just how cute?!)

Hanging out with new friends

The three bad kitties’ new friend Jiji, on the other hand, is out to prove that coco liners aren’t just for outdoor plants anymore. He’s so on trend, because if he fits… That liner was on the counter for all of about 2 minutes before he hopped on in.

Just a quick cat check-in from their various hangouts this week, so: How’s your own Caturday (or cat free week) progressing? We’re working on reorganizing and refreshing around here, and I just added several new colorful chindi pillows from ALDI to work together with this very old rug from ALDI. Don’t you think that they help brighten up the family room? (This is actually the other end of the room to which we added our DIY coffee bar a few months ago, so it’s really starting to come together!) Step by step, right?
