Feed Me, Seymour: Caturday with the Notorious BKL and Friends

Welcome back to Caturday with the Notorious BKL and Friends, Feed Me, Seymour edition! (Because clearly: We never do.)

It’s time for another Caturday with The Notorious BKL and Friends: Feed Me, Seymour edition! So I’m not sure if I ever mentioned this, but: I have brand-loyal cats. Oh yes, nothing but Purina ONE dry cat food will do for Her Majesty here, not to mention her picky brethren and sistren.

So lately I’ve been buying our too-many-cats subscriptions to these big bags of cat food on Amazon, because unlike my local stores lately, they often run sales and coupons. When the boxes arrive, guess who’s always the first to check things out, acting like she’s been waiting weeks for her food to arrive.

These cats have clearly never been fed

But seriously: Look at the FULL BOWL OF perfectly good cat food (complete with spills from the kids over-zealously dumping it in) right next to Miss Dramatic Poser Bad Kitty Lucy Who Has Clearly Not Been Fed In Years.

Not to mention this guy, who jumped right into the refrigerator as I was putting away groceries the other day and started a round of loud, heartbreaking meowing as if he had never, ever been fed in his entire life.

Speaking of which, have you seen this heartbreaking “local cat has never been fed in entire life” meme going around? It’s not just mine…

I mean, The Notorious Bad Kitty Lucy has been just so deprived that she ran out the door behind us the other day and went right up a tree to try to catch herself a squirrel dinner. (No worries: She didn’t even come close, and we easily retrieved her and brought her back inside…)

Starvation aside, it’s a good life

Don’t let them fool you, though. Other than the whole starvation & deprivation thing, they don’t actually have a bad life.

In fact, I’d have to say that they (and we) actually do have it pretty good.

How’s your own Caturday?

That’s us for now, so how’s your own Caturday (or cat-free week) progressing? Me, I saw the cutest Squishmallow kitty travel pillow at ALDI the other day, and have kind of been coveting it for my adult-sized head. That’s probably a bad idea, though…

And speaking of cat-related things I’ve run across in the wild (as it were), I’d never actually seen one of these hairless cats in person until spotting this one in costume at my local hair salon last month. Isn’t his costume just amazing?

Anyway: Do let us know how your own catur-full or cat-free week has been going. And, as always, be sure to tune in next time for the latest in our ongoing Caturday adventures with the Notorious BKL and Friends.
