Queen of the World Caturday
Just guess who’s the queen… And, while we’re playing, guess what Amazon recommended to me today?
Think they’re trying to tell me something? I’m not sure, but suspect that BKL might have had some kind of a paw in this one…
She’s clearly not amused by my shenanigans. Is this a do not care stare, or what? But whether they choose to show it or not, all the cats are very pleased with the suddenly sunny weather we’ve been experiencing here in Chicago lately — they’re all sprawled out sleeping in their respective sunbeams as I type.
Speaking of shenanigans: BKL, THIS IS WHY WE CANNOT HAVE NICE THINGS! See the little claw delicately digging into the top of the door to help her keep her balance? Those little claws have found their delicate way into many more easily scratched and torn objects around this house…
“Oh, I’m sorry: Were you planning to put the dishes you are currently washing on this dish drying mat? My bad… Oh, wait. I care not.”
Here, I’m really not sure whether she’s intending to comfort Middle School Guy or to conquer him. (The two are probably conflated in a bad kitty brain, to be honest with you.)

I’ll leave you with the usual question on this Caturday: How’s your own Caturweek (or cat-free week) going? Here, the cats simply keep doing their own thing around us, as life goes on. We’re still in the throes of the college decision process for High School Guy — while Middle School Guy just tested for his third degree black belt in taekwondo! As always, I’m incredibly proud to be their mom. 🙂
