Midweek meal planning 6/3/15

Welcome back to Midweek Meal Planning for the week of 6/3/15! It’s more traditional to meal plan on the weekend, but since our Chicago grocery deals mostly flip midweek, and since Wednesday hump day is when many of us start running out of steam, we buck the trend here and go with Wednesdays.

  • Sunday: MashupDad and I went out for fancy 18th (!) anniversary dinner, and the kids had leftovers.
  • Monday: Leftover Oven Roasted BBQ turkey breast.
  • Tuesday: Sandwich and salad bar.
  • Wednesday: Garlicky pork roast and potatoes with extra garlic (pictured above; recipe to come Sunday…). Used one of the cheap pork roasts from Jewel today.
  • Thursday: I found a turkey dinner sausage in my fridge that needs using, so if I get out in the morning for carrots and celery type stuff, I’m thinking soup.
  • Friday: It looks like it will just be me and Mr. 8 for dinner, so soup leftovers unless he talks me into something else.
  • Saturday: I’m going to be driving past Jewel, so am thinking of stopping in for cheap pub burgers and asparagus for the grill on their three day sale.

Sunday: Graduation Party (but I don't think Christine was there! :-)) Monday: Chicken in the crock pot with potatoes. Tuesday: Salad and cauliflower bread flats (modified mashupmom recipe) with avocado and chicken on top. Wednesday: Ate at the church and grilled up some chicken breasts for Thurs. Thursday: Chicken breasts and mashed or grilled potato packets. Friday: Golf outing that includes dinner! Saturday: Out, no kids and class all day.

Sunday: We went to a graduation party. I didn't have to cook, that was nice! Monday: Sloppy Joe, salad Tues: Leftover Sloppy Joe, leftover macaroni salad and baked beans from a luncheon Wednesday: 3 ingredient chicken burrito bowls (meat was in the freezer) for a quick dinner, toppings, brown rice Thursday: Pork chops (from freezer) potatoes? Friday; I like the pub burger idea too. So that and some fruit from Aldi Saturday: we leave for vacation in the early morning yeah!!! See ya in a week
