I was deleting some photos and just found these from Target the other day — I’d picked up these clearance Emerald Vanilla Roast and Cocoa Roast almonds to take a look at, then put them back. Surprise! Sucralose (Splenda) hiding in here, too. And Acesulfame Potassium is another artificial sugar substitute, so we get a double whammy with this one.
Although I’ve cooked with Splenda and purchased it in the past, I’ve been trying over the past year to avoid buying products that contain hidden Sucralose — other than the occasional Atkins-bar-type-treat for low-carb MashupDad, who remains a huge fan. We’ll convert him yet.
