ALDI

  • Heather comments: “The Aldi in Plainfield had a huge cart of their protein bars marked down to .99 a box. Heat and serve rolls were marked down to .25. They had several other bags of chips and Easter items reduced, too.”

Best Buy

  • From VB: “In case anyone is in the market for a TV. We picked one up at Best Buy it was one sale $700 off the retail price for $999.99 and it had almost everything that we wanted for the price ( I would have like the 4K ultra but we’d have to go up in price and we had set a limit)so we were pretty happy to get a good deal on the TV and then It turns out that the store employee incorrectly told us the free financing would be 18 months (it was actually only 12 months) so he called the finance dept and had them extend the 0% financing period to 18 months. When we got home my husband looked up the TV on the Best buy website to see the features and he noticed that online they were giving a free Smart 3D bluray/dvd player that retailed at $139.99 with the purchase of that same TV. He went back to the store and they honored the online deal (we were prepared to return it and order it online to do store pick up but glad we avoided that hassle)! It worked out great since we were already saying we would need to buy a bluray player since we were moving the old tv to my daughters room that has no cable to watch movies but since it’s a Smart Player she has access to apps to watch TV in her room (I did not even realize the made smart bluray players). With the $700 sale and the free Smart Bluray player and 18 month 0% financing it turned into a great deal for us. They did mention if we pay it off in 30 days we would also get 10% off ( I am going to have to look into that!)”

Carson’s

  • Caroline shares: “Carson’s Black Friday $10/$10 off coupon is back. Check your email I got one emailed to my email address and I also have one from the sales ad in Thursday’s paper”

Caputo’s

  • If you have the Driscoll’s survey coupons, check out Caputo’s. Kristina comments: “I was just at the Naperville store. Driscoll’s strawberries are 99 cents!”

Coupons

  • Here’s a nice high value $3.00/1 Oxiclean detergent coupon, spotted by feelgood.
  • If you’re printing the Brach’s candy coupon, Mary Beth points out: “Menard’s also sells Brach’s. Might be worth a look.” And Joy says that “Easter candy was 50% off at Walmat yesterday” and Wendy found “70% off all Easter at Walgreens today”
  • And while you’re taking a look for that, Julie comments on the Clorox 2 coupon: “Menards puts these on sale for $1.50 every so often too.”

Jewel

  • A heads up from Jodi on the sale tamales: “Went to Jewel today and wanted the 10 for $10 tamales advertised. You have to ask the butcher and then he brings them from the back at the store in Kankakee. Anyway, he told the pork ones were recalled so they only had the chicken. I got those but not I wonder why the pork was recalled and if the chicken is ok. My frustration level with the Kankakee and Bourbonnais Jewels is getting to the point of not shopping there anymore! Trying to use a good coupon is like pulling teeth!”

LivingSocial

  • Jessica doesn’t recommend the Dells deal: “I do not recommend this resort at all. It was dirty, overcrowded and outdated. The food was mediocre at best and the grocery store a rip off. I paid $7.50 for 10 tampons. I understand a convenience mark up, but come on!! In talking to other guests, I found out that they give waterpark passes to guests of about 5 other hotels in town. No wonder it was so crowded. The lifeguard staff was severely lacking. I even saw one at the top of the slide lean in and kiss a girl while he was on duty. Extremely unprofessional and unsafe. They don’t have adequate tubes for the rides and their line procedures are ridiculous. I’ll never go back. Stick with a nicer resort such as Wilderness Territory or Kalahari, they’re more expensive but now I see why.”

Meijer

  • A heads up on the free Fairlife milk from Kristina: “Beware – the chocolate has Splenda (sucralose) in it. Splenda gives me terrible headaches… so glad I read the ingredients list!”
  • From feelgood: “Besides the Hamburger Helper and Chi-Chi’s salsa listed above, there is also a 50% savings on the following products with mPerks digital coupons (prices listed after 50% off coupon):22 oz Kraft Miracle Whip or Mayo $1.49
    4-pk Jello Refrigerated Pudding $0.99
14.5 oz Del Monte Tomatoes $0.45
    Del Monte Specialty vegetables $0.69
4-pk Del Monte Fruit Cups $1.09
7 oz Del Monte Refrigerated Fruit Cup $0.49
Entenmann’s Donuts or Little Bites $1.99
16.3 oz Peter Pan Peanut Butter $1.25
    Orville Redenbacher’s Microwave Popcorn $1.75
Chi-Chi’s Tortillas $0.94Easiest way to find the 50% off coupons is to search “newest” in the mPerks coupon section. Also, they’re manufacturer coupons.”
  • And another Purina find from feelgood to add on to the cheap Purina Natural Cat Chow deal here: “For those with dogs, 24 oz. Purina Alpo Wholesome Dog Biscuits are $2.50 each at Meijer. Redplum (zip 60154) has a Buy One Get One Free coupon, and a $1.00/1 coupon. This would also work well with the Catalina offer, and both mPerks pet offers.”

Target

  • Sue is wondering: “Since Target went to 70% off Easter on Thursday, anyone know if it’ll be Saturday or Sunday for the 90% off?  Need to get the basics for 150 baskets for next year, and don’t want to miss the day!  Thanks.”
  • Jesse found Lime-A-Way trigger cleaner at the City Target in Chicago on State Street with a try me free rebate on it.
  • A great Easter clearance candy find from Pam: “Just left Target in Villa Park. I used the Brach’s coupon on Chocolate marshmallow rabbits to get them for $.60. Better yet, M&Ms bags are 50% off @ $1.59. Used four $1/1 coupons from 3-15 RP I believe & two target coupons from their website of $1/2 to get four bags for $.09 a piece!! Yay! Plenty left!”

Caputo’s

  • Valentina S. comments: “I went to Angelo Caputo’s on 42 Ogden Ave, DG on Saturday and today. Driscoll’s strawberries 1 lb were advertised for $1.99, but I saw that two store associates put up sign 2/$3.00. I got 2 for $0.50 after $1.00/1 Driscoll’s survey coupons on Saturday and 1 today.
I also found 1 0z. McCormick dry guacamole mix for $1.09. Used 2 $.75/1 MQs from 3/15RP to get two packets for $.69 including tax.”

CVS

  • Liz notes: “on SNAP app, If you buy a BIGI free item (like for the blue diamond almonds this week) submit for 2 items purchased. I just spoke with customer sevice and as long as 2 are on the receipt even if they are free you get credit for 2. I only got credit for one and they are working on this problem of when you submit for 2 or more it is sometimes only crediting for one. They are super friendly if you call them and credit you right away!” Blue Diamond are BOGO this week at CVS.

Gift cards

Jewel

  • Rhonda asks: “Is anyone having trouble with the Activia login to print the coupon? I can’t login.”
  • A good find from David: “Stephen’s Hot Cocoa 12 pack K-Cups on clearance for just $1 each at 75th and Naper Jewel.”

Mariano’s

  • Finds from SoapboxTray: “Mariano’s has Jimmy Dean sausage (in the tube) for $1.99 (regular and hot variety) use the $1. off IP today and get for free or 99¢ any other day. I believe through 28th. They also have Canadian Dry seltzer water 12 packs for $3. (regular price) use the $1. off IP coupon if you have (mine didn’t do the double today had to go to CS). Nutella is $3. if you are hanging on to those $2. off coupons (which I was). Starbucks iced coffee bigger jugs $4.50 use $1. off IP for $2.50 each today. Yum.”

Meijer

  • A deal from liz: ” I love method dish soap but its $3.00 a bottle. Meijer has it on price 2.79 cut till? at least thru tomorrow. Whole foods has a 1/1 coupon you can use there and 1/1 on shopmium for .79 soap that smells so good!”
  • A find from Charlotte: “A possible deal on Kleenex at Meijer: The 4 packs, large boxes of Kleenex (160 sheets, $5.99 each) have $1.50 peelies on them. There is also a deal where you buy $20 worth of Cottonelle, Scotts, Kleenex etc items, get $5 off OYNO. So, grab 3 of the Kleenex packs @ $5.99 = 17.97. A filler item or two (or another pack of Kleenex). I grabbed a pack of travel sized Kleenex for $2.29, but it rang up for $2, so I had to head to CS and get that sorted. Anyway, my scenario ended up being: $20, – $4.50 in coupons, – 1 in store coupon (catalina that printed a few weeks back), – $5 OYNO = $9.50 for 12 large boxes of tissues (and a travel pack), or $0.79/box, or $0.005/sheet. Oh, and if you wait until the 27th, there is a 10% off coupon. The shelves at my store were a bit bare, so I decided to go for it now.”

  • Look what Melanie M. found! “My Target (Romeoville) had the EmergenC Super Orange 10ct on clearance for $3.81. $5 gift card on 2 DID come up at register. I also had two $1/1 mfr coupons. So, $7.62 for both minus $2 in mfr coupons plus $5 gift card back plus 5% off for having target card was a great deal. I think each 10ct pkg came out to 30 cents each. Caputo’s

  • If you are looking for affordable sesame oil, Christine suggests: “If you have a Caputos by you check there for the oil. Sometimes Aldi has it. I think I saw it recently with the Asian food they have been having on special. Little bottle goes along way. ;;-)”
  • And Outlander says: “I buy it at Caputos, but it is about $5 for a 11 oz bottle (Kadoya pure sesame oil from Japan). Just buy it, it is absolutely awesome. A little does go a long way. I keep it in the fridge so it doesn’t go bad. It just thickens in there, but that’s not a problem. You won’t find it cheaper, and if you do, it’s likely not very good.”

Coupons

Dunkin Donuts

  • Liz commented last night that: “If you have the dunking donut app check it for free iced coffee good till tomorrow”

Jewel

  • A question from SoapboxTray on the Canada Dry seltzer coupon: “Curious if anyone has seen if the Seltzer Canada dry is also on sale for $2.77 in multiples of 4 at Jewel? I was in such a hurry yesterday and didn’t think about this coupon!”
  • And a find from liz: “If you like the sambozan drinks they are on sale at jewel for 2.00, they have 50 cents back from ibotta and 1.00 back unlimited from shopmium. I purchased the blue diamond nut sale from walgreens that was posted buy 1 get 1 free from the writeup this week and noticed snap has unlimited .50 back on those(we will see if I get 1 or 2 credit and its also on ibotta. Check your jewel for clearance st pattys lucky charms at jewel(1.49) I received 50 cents back from saving star and 50 cent coupon from coupon.com”

Mariano’s

  • Rita has a use for the $1.00/1 Jimmy Dean roll sausage coupon: “hmmmm….I’m thinking double it on Wednesday at Mariano’s? I’ll take any excuse to go there…they sell toffee covered caramel apples!”
  • And from seachicago: “I happened to be at both Target and Mariano’s today, one right after another. Bought a bunch of the 80 cent boxes of Mom’s Best at Target, but noticed that the $1.50 (everyday price) boxes at Mariano’s seemed to have about 50% more cereal. So they’re still slightly cheaper at Target with cartwheel, and a great bargain compared to the big name brands, but still a good deal at Mariano’s with no sale needed. Mariano’s carried a different variety, including versions of raisin bran, honey bunches of oats, and honey nut cheerios-type cereals.”
  • Susie concurs: “Yes I did notice a size difference at Mariano’s. The honey nut Cheerios version is 20 oz, I still have that box at home. I don’t remember the other sizes as the kids finished them. The next time I’m there i will get more info.  I think it’s a great price at $1.50, considering the ones that usually go on sale are smaller in size.   Target was out of the cocoa crispies version but I did notice the price cut date is until 3/28. So hopefully they will get some in before the sale ends.”

Meijer

Resale

  • April shares: “Mothers and More Oswego resale.  It is Saturday March 21 from 8 am to 1 pm.  From noon to 1 pm all blue tags are half off.  $1 admission at the door and no strollers.  Long Beach Elementary School in Montgomery.  Great place to get baby equipments, items, toys, shoes, strollers, and clothes from baby size to teens!”

Target

  • Watch your receipts — Sandra comments that: “Cartwheel didn’t come off my Little Debbie Easter snack cakes. All my other Cartwheels worked. Not sure if it was just something with mine or a problem in general. I went to CS where they gave me the $ for the Cartwheel.”
  • And here’s a find from Shawna: “Look for pull ups and goodnights big packs on cleanse for $15.28 there is 5% off cartwheel for both and a printable target q for $1 off for both and printable mq for $2 for both as well. Mq is on coupons .com. ended up paying $10.51 each for a big pack of pull ups 48 ct and big pack of goodnights.”
  • And if you’re looking for the better price on the Planters peanuts for this week’s gift card deal, Kristen found it: “I found the Planters peanuts for $2.99 tonight at the Target in Glendale Heights on Army Trail road and Schamle. I got 6 and there were plenty left! HTH”
  • Jennifer found them at this price, too: “I was at the Tinley Park Target today and they had the Planters nuts for $2.99. Got 6 of them and the shelves we fully stocked.”
  • Ellen noticed a new Target mobile coupon today for the Scott TP deal — $1.50/1! (If you’re not already getting their mobile coupons, text OFFERS to 827438.)
  • A heads up on the Viva paper towels deal from TracyS: “Heads up-check your totals before check out. I bought 6 items, and my subtotal was $56.xx, but then with promo and discounts of $12.xx it brought it down to $53. No idea why. Needless to say, no order for me.”

Ultra Foods

  • From Kerri: “Lansing location shows 2.99 ground chuck, 29 cent bananas and 3 for 5 Doritos.”

Whole Foods

  • Tamara comments: “So Delicious dairy free yogurt is on sale through 3/31 for $1.50. Use a $1/1 coupon from coupons.com and get yogurt for $.50 each. If you still have the Whole Foods coupons from February, then stack $1/3 and get 3 for $.50 or $.17 each.”
