  • 2 medium Gala apples
  • 1 Tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp chipotle chili powder
  • Juice from 1/4 of a small lemon

  1. Slice your apples very thinly, discarding stems and seeds, and arrange in a single layer on a rimmed baking sheet lined with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.
  2. Combine all other ingredients in a small bowl.
  3. Brush honey & spice mixture onto each apple slice.
  4. Bake at 225 degrees for 2.5-3 hours, turning sheet around halfway through cooking time. *Note: I used a knife to slice my apples. If you use a mandoline and have thinner slices, yours may cook more quickly, so start testing for doneness at the 2 hour mark.
  5. Test for doneness around the 2.5 hour mark, and when apple slices are starting to crisp up and the edges are starting to curl up, turn off the heat and leave them in the warm oven another 10-30 minutes to finish drying out.
  6. Remove from cookie sheet and enjoy!
