Perdue clearance at Ultra Foods Lombard

perdueultra

If you’re near Ultra Foods Lombard like… now… you might want to stop in. Tracy commented on Facebook that they had Perdue boneless skinless chicken breast on sale for $.99/lb BOGO. I happened to be right by there when I saw her message, so stopped in — this is short dated clearance (packages exp. 7/1) and mine did not ring BOGO, since they were tagged as Sanderson Farms, lol. I figured it was a good enough deal nonetheless and got six packs (about 9 lbs) for $5.99 after three of the no-longer-available $1.00/2 printables from last month. When I left about 5:35 PM they had around 20 packs left.

Reader Deals 6/25/15: Here are the deals, heads up, and requests you shared over the last 24 hours — Thanks! How do you share your own deal?

  • Email Rachel: rachel@mashupmom.com.
  • Comment below, or on any post where it seems to fit.
  • Post on the Mashup Mom Facebook page.

*** If you are sharing a deal from another site or an online coupon, please include the link. If you found a deal at a specific store, please include the location.

American Express

  • Look for this offer on your account, from CMKW: “There is a promotion for some American Express card holders where if you spend $100 at either Target or Walmart, you receive a $30 statement credit at the end of a 90 day waiting period. It can be used a whopping FIVE times, and it can be combined with anything…coupons or clearance. I made out like a bandit last night after combining my health and beauty and home storage Qs.”

Build-a-Bear

  • Mark asks on the $8 online promo: “Can anyone explain how this works when ordering from them online? The site isn’t clear (at least not to me). So basically, if you order the bear online, it arrives “completed”, stuffed, dressed (if you choose), etc…so you’re basically just buying a teddybear online like you would from any shop? Or do they ship you the unstuffed bear that you can then take to one of their stores and watch them stuff it, etc. It seems that’s the whole point/enjoyment from “BUILD” a Bear…actually getting to build it. If you’re just ordering a teddy bear online, that doesn’t have the same appeal to me. Has anyone done this via build a bear online? I know you can walk into the store and purchase an unstuffed bear, stuff it, etc…but then the sale doesn’t apply….” Here’s what I found online: They come stuffed unless you specify otherwise in the comments box: “How do I order an animal unstuffed? To order an animal unstuffed, please enter a note in the comment section of the order screen.” I’m not sure if you can then just walk into build a bear with your already purchased animal and watch them stuff it — anyone else know?

Food 4 Less

  • TracyS has additions to this week’s deals: “also included in buy 6 save $3 are 59oz minute maid oj $1.99 and Coffee-mate 32 oz creamer $1.99, both below my price points, and both items on my low stock list.”

Fresh Thyme

  • A recommendation from Kristy: “I need to suggest the honey roasted peanut, grind your own PB at fresh thyme! Sooo yummy!”

Jewel

  • Here’s a deal from feelgood: “Essential Everyday 12.25 oz marinade is $1.00 until 7/28 at Jewel, and there’s a $0.50/1 store coupon on the front page of the new monthly Big Book of Savings ad (6/24-7/28), to get it for $0.50.”

Reader Requests

  • One from maggie: “Hi I’m looking for an inflatable (twin or queen) mattress – does anyone know of a deal or perhaps can recommend a certain kind?? Thanks!!” Here’s what I’ve got: I posted a deal here on a queen with built-in pump. Or, at Menards through 7/5: Twin classic air bed, $12.99. It doesn’t look like it has the built-in pump, but you’d have to check details. Anyone else?
  • A response to yesterday’s question about which papers to buy in NJ, from Mary: “The question of papers from NJ – I would suggest The New York Times and The Philadelphia Inquirer.”
  • Artie also replies: “Roni,RE: NJ couponws

Ultra Foods

  • Finds from Artie: “Lansing store has a variety of closeouts too numerous to mention located in the SouthWest corner of the store and they were still adding things as I was leaving.. Found Peak Fresh Re-Usable Produce Bags, Set of 10 for $2.00. Plenty left as of now. Amazon sells these for $7.41 Vienna Hot dogs & Polish sausage closeout $2.99 located in cases by the meat section.
Major remodeling still going on here.”

Zaycon

  • From SoapboxTray: “Zaycon: In regards to more fat. I commented about mine having more fat as time has gone on ordering through them and I looked at my history and I ordered 4 times. First 2/15/2012 most recent 8/28/2013 and ordered 4 times. It has been a while I guess! But sounds like a common theme to having more fat than previous, however I wanted to note that yes, I agree with Rachel and others saying that it is less fat than store brand, but I have been buying “Bare” and there is no trimming required on that. So I am getting used to that! :)”
  • SoapboxTray also asks on the Zaycon salmon: “Has anyone tried their salmon and how they liked?” I think this is the first time they have done salmon in Chicago?

ALDI

  • Athena is wondering: “Has anyone bought and used the tent at Aldi’s. What can you tell me about it?”

Bath & Body Works

  • From Terri J: “Check out their website! The throwback scents they re-released today are only $3.50 each for the big bottles! And 10/40 code too!!”

Dollar Tree

  • Heads up from pt if you spot the sugar cookie Pebbles cereal: “We bought those fruity pebbles after xmas on clearance at Jewel-my family, who are big fruity pebbles fans, hated them… beware-maybe buy one at a time if you want to try them!”

Dunkin Donuts

  • Elizabeth shares a deal on Facebook: “Offer is valid thru June 14, 2015 or while supplies last and is only available when displayed on www.dunkindonuts.com/visacheckout. Use Visa Checkout to load a new or reload an existing Dunkin’ Donuts Card with a minimum of $25 at dunkindonuts.com/visacheckout or on the Dunkin Mobile® App and receive a bonus of $10.00 loaded on your DD Card. Limit one $10 bonus load per customer. The maximum value that can be loaded onto a Dunkin’ Donuts card (including the $10 promotional bonus) is $100. Any attempt at fraud will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Void where prohibited, taxed or restricted. Dunkin’ Donuts reserves the right to change or limit the promotion in its sole discretion.”

Jewel

  • From feelgood: “For those buying Twix, Snickers or Dove ice cream for $2.25 at Jewel today. Besides the $1.00/1 inserts or printables, look for boxes with “Save $2.00 on ice cream and chocolate” on the box. Went to 2 different Jewels and saw Twix and Dove boxes with the $2.00 off offer on the box. Inside was a $1.00/1 ice cream coupon and a $1.00/2 chocolate coupon, both expiring 12/31/15.” The three day sale is now over, but if you are buying these elsewhere or on future sales, something to look for.
  • Heads up from Diane: “On the Jewel MyMixx Sara Lee BOGO coupon, the Sara Lee slices were $2/7 but the regular pound cake was $4.99 & even though the MyMixx says BOGO on either one, the $4.99 did not come off. Good thing I had printed it & it said BOGO up to $3.50, but after the cashier looked at it, he took $4.99 off.” Coupon is good through today 6/8.
  • Sandra says: “I bought the regular pound cake, not the slices, and it rang correctly and automatically took the second one off with the BOGO MyMixx. For anyone who has trouble finding these they are in the frozen section. The regular pound cake is 10.75 oz (I think slices were a little less weight which is why I went with regular)… I probably should clarify, too, that by correctly I mean 2/$7 so that with the MyMixx I ended up paying $3.50 for 2.”

Mariano’s

  • Finds from peaches: “I was in the Mariano’s on Golf and Waukegan in Glenview yesterday, and I noticed that they had some of the Bob’s Red Mill on sale for 50% off. I think they are clearing these out. They had bags of soy flour, buckwheat flour, and some other flours 50 % off, and they also had a few things 20% off. BTW you can use soy flour in place of eggs. One heaping tablespoon of soy flour plus one tablespoon of water equals one egg.”

Target

  • Patty clarifies: “The Starbucks deal offers a $5 Target gift card, not a Starbucks card. Much better deal that way anyway.”
  • And if you’re doing the Starbucks deal, check out Maureen’s finds: “There is a Starbucks printable on single serves at http://www.starbucksicedcoffee.com/?visited=true. Also a 20% Target Cartwheel.”
  • And Lola shares that: “The 30% off 3 C9 items worked on clearance. Stack it with the women’s 20% off clearance cartwheel. And there can be some good deals, but you have to look hard through the clearance racks.”
  • If you did the L’Oreal hair color deal, cjpuppy spotted: “FYI on the same site that Rachel linked the 3.00 coupon you can join their club and enter 5 codes and get a coupon for a free box of hair color.”

Ultra Foods

  • Heads up from April if you are looking at the clearance freezers: “I just wanted to mention it here. I was thinking of maybe getting a freezer at Ultra Foods since they reduced prices and also because I have this $10/$100 coupon from mailer. I asked today a customer service if I could see coupons, that come with it. She said, that this freezers will Not be sold with coupons, since the price was reduced!!! I guess it’s not a very good deal after all. :(” The signage definitely mentioned the coupons at my store — anyone picked one up?

Bike helmets

  • In response to yesterday’s question about where to buy bike helmets, Jim shares: “If you are looking for bike helmets, Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge offers them for adults, kids and toddlers for $11 and will even fit it for you as well. These helmets are the same ones that you will find at a bike shop for $40 – $50 and are great quality.”
  • And seachicago suggests: “You can also find them at Aldi, but only about once a year in the spring. I saw them about a month ago, kids and adult sizes. They were Bell, and about $10 I think (same ones you find for $21+ at Walmart, Target, etc.)”

Coupons

GFS

  • From Jenn: “ya the GFS burgers are great. I am a manager at the burbank location. If anyone is looking for the peanut butter and jelly Grahamwiches from marketday still we have a ton and they are on sale for 10.99 a box this week. and now that i know people on here go to GFS ill let you know if we clearance anything good and try to get my hands on a sale paper to help out.”

Reader requests

  • Mandi asks: “Does anyone know of any coupons for Kahlua alcohol? I already have the rebate for $50. I was wondering if there were any other coupons… thanks for any help!!!”

Sam’s Club

  • Rosemary on Facebook shares that: “Sam’s club through Discover (credit card) deals: Get a gift card worth up to $25 at Sam’s Club Expires: 12/31/2015. Receive a $25 gift card as a Plus Member or a $10 gift card as a Savings or Business Member when you join or renew your Sam’s Club membership. So excited I found this, mine expires next month… Log into your account and look under *discover deals* print out coupon.”

Trader Joe’s

  • Jen has more product recommendations: “Oh Trader Joes, how I love that store. I used to shop there even more, but now I mostly go for specific things. I LOVE their shredded brussels sprouts (roast in oven with olive oil and salt at 400 for like 15 min till they start getting crispy) and broccoli slaw (I toss with some bottled raspberry vinaigrette and some mix ins). They’re not dirt cheap but they’re basically instant vegetable side dishes so I splurge on busy weeks. I also like their yogurt, especially the little containers of whole milk flavored yogurt because it’s really hard to find many varieties of whole milk yogurt elsewhere. Their frozen prepared foods are great for lunches when we have no leftovers–I always keep some tamales, burritos, curries, and several pasta dishes in the freezer because they’re all better and more interesting than most of the brands you get in a regular grocery store. Oh and their frozen croissants are seriously amazing, like better than you’ll get from many bakeries in America. I buy them as an occasional treat for weekend breakfast. I get coffee there too–I’m not a coffee expert but I’m picky about how much bitterness I like, so I buy their “smooth” variety coffee. I also buy nuts there, and my kids love their animal cookies, oyster crackers, and the little peanut butter sandwich crackers. And of course the wine is a good deal. I personally don’t like the “two buck chuck” (though it’s more than $2 now), but they have other great deals in the liquor department. The key with TJ’s is to price match. Some things are equal price to other stores, but some are quite a bit more expensive. TJ’s is really best for those unique things you can’t get anywhere else.”

Ultra Foods

  • Heads up from Janice if you are buying one of the leftover freezers: “I purchased the freezer when the deal was first advertised. The vast majority of the coupons expired on June 2, 2015 — I was at the Wheaton store using them and it was quiet there also. Hopefully they’re extending the expiration date on the Ultra coupons in the envelope. The manufacturer coupons had later expiration dates.”

Walmart

  • If you’re doing the Fisher price match Snap deal, Jane comments: “They changed the wording on snap to delete “any” store. I was reading on couponaholic.com that some were having trouble with Walmarts receipt and snap approving. It seems the wording is too vague. I hope 1) they still have the offer on snap tomorrow and 2) Walmart will price match and have some in stock and 3) snap accepts it! I have 2 Walmarts in my area, so lets cross fingers!”
  • And Jane is also wondering if anyone found Nut Exactly at their Walmart?

Whole Foods
