I was looking at my grocery cash back app earnings this week, and here’s the grand total:
- $2.25 back on Ibotta ($.25 on cream at Costco, and $2.00 at Jewel on fake crab, eggs, and butter).
- $1.65 from MobiSave ($.75 on Ken’s dressing at Jewel, $.40 on bacon at Costco, $.25 on clementines at ALDI, $.25 on apples at Pete’s).
- $.45 on Shrink. (New to Shrink? Code JQOJWO when you create your account in the app = a $1.00 bonus! Create it manually; do not use Facebook to sign in.) ($.20 on yogurt at Jewel, $.25 on bread at Pete’s).
- $.25 on Checkout 51 (grapefruit at ALDI).
That’s $4.60 in all, which is more than usual.
I accidentally recycled receipts in a decluttering frenzy (doh) but estimate that I spent around $70 on groceries + HBA items this week before cash back, meaning I saved another 6.6% from cash back apps. What would your number look like? Does it feel “worth” it to you? 🙂
