As busy moms we don’t always take enough time for ourselves or just to get together with friends without our kids — so this week, I took the time to schedule a midweek mom break while the kids were in school! And since OREO recently introduced these new OREO Thins…
This past Sunday I stopped by CVS — as I almost always do on Sundays — and picked up two varieties of the new thinner & crisper OREO Thins: Original and Mint. Excited as I was to try these, I held out until midweek and my planned coffee, cookies, and conversation with a friend.
Midweek Mom Break, step by step
Planning your own OREO Thins coffee date with friends? Pick yours up at any CVS nationwide, and here’s your road map!
Step one: Break out the good china! I can’t remember the last time I used these pretty plates and mugs — but if you keep saving things for a “special occasion,” you may never use them. Celebrate some of the smaller special occasions in life, like good friends and good conversation.
Step two: Lay a pretty table. I love fall colors, which also pair so well with my “good” china, so took just a few minutes to gather some of the first fall leaves and flowers from my yard. Simple steps can help elevate everyday coffee with friends to a special occasion.
Step three: Add a treat! We sampled both original and mint OREO Thins (which also come in Golden). The new OREO Thins are thin, crispy, and decidedly delicious — mint was definitely the hit here, although both flavors were tasty.
Step four: Enjoy! With everything in place, enjoy coffee, cookies, and some adult conversation while the kids are in school.
That’s my midweek mom break with new OREO Thins — which flavor would you choose to take a break with?
