Zaycon — Order fresh boneless skinless chicken breast $1.69/lb!
Posted at 5:56 pm by rachel in events, salesYay — Charlotte just commented on Facebook that Zaycon Foods has opened up Illinois pickups for fresh boneless skinless chicken breast at $1.69/lb!
Again, if you’re not familiar with Zaycon Foods,
- They sell fresh boneless skinless chicken breast by the case, as direct from the farmer as possible.
- This time, it’s $1.69/lb, sold in 40 lb cases for $67.60.
- Head to local pickup locations at a specified date and time to pick up your order.
- They schedule events across the country; and were last in IL with ground beef only this summer.
- Here’s my review last year of their chicken, if you’re curious and want to see some pix!
They’ve added a lot more pickup locations this time, so hopefully there is a date and time that will work for you.
Head over to Zaycon to place your order now. And please feel free to chat and get together in comments about splitting orders, if 40 lbs is too much for you — this worked out well for a few folks last time with the ground beef event

Just got 2 cases – we go through alot of chicken and the price is right!
I didn’t get the chicken last time but LOVED the beef. Missed it last time around….I will be trying the chicken this go around!
Does anyone from the city order this? Just wondering as its just so far to get to Gurnee or Elk Grove Village.
this is worth the drive,,,,,trust me. i actually cut each chicken breats in half (horizantily) and double the amount i get. bag them in 4′s and give them to family. they are excellent!
I’m excited-this is my first Zaycon order and I can’t wait to try it! I was thinking I would want to split it, but honestly I already buy 10-15 lbs at a time….there is a reason I have a chest freezer!
I would be interested in splitting this with someone and would more than likely also not be able to make it to any of the pick-up times. I live in the Bolingbrook area. Pleae let me know if anyone is willing to split a case with me. Thanks!
I normally buy our chicken and beef from “The Fresh Market” out in Geneva (i drive 30 minutes out there) because they are a cheaper version of Whole Foods. I wait til their chicken and meat go to rock bottom prices and buy tons to freeze. I say this because I hate most chicken and beef from the regular grocery store because it has tons of filler and I can totally tell a difference in taste and texture too in my chicken. Does anybody have any comments to this? Cause this is a fabulous price.
This is the best chicken I have ever purchased. Last year I only bought one unit, but this year I’m buying three. The pieces are HUGE and many times one piece (half breast) feeds my hubby, teenager and myself. It is well worth the drive but you have to dedicate time when you get it home to portion it and bag it for freezing.
Kim W – I would split with you in a heartbeat, but I also cannot do the pickup time! I work on Thursdays all day in St Charles – anyone willing to do a pickup and/or split??? I could pickup from someone on Friday.
I wish I would have seen this sooner. I am usually the pick up person for my group of friends. The Zaycon delivery man is going to think I’m crazy picking up 320 lbs of chicken this time. I’m always willing to help someone by picking up their orders.
