Well… my trip to Ultra this morning didn’t pan out as well as I’d hoped, and culminated with my forgetting to put a bag of groceries in the cart while Mr. 5 was causing trouble and the cashier was dithering about my (apparently very confusing) coupons. That’s not frugal! lol

So, let me just tell you a couple of observations instead.

  • Nesquik powder is on sale for $2.79. Buy two for $5.58 and use the $1.50/2 printable to get two for $4.08, or $2.04 each, which is a good price if you like this stuff.
  • The Land O’ Lakes half & half that is on sale is the pints at 3/$5.00. Dean’s quarts are on sale for $1.99, so even after coupon the Dean’s are cheaper than buying the Land O’ Lakes.
  • The only varieties of Libby’s that appeared to be on sale were corn, peas, and green beans.
  • And on the Birds Eye Steamfresh, corn, peas, broccoli cuts, green beans, rice medleys on sale — most of the others were 2/$5.00.

I’m wondering what size this canister is since I am close to a Walmart (price matching) and a half hour from an Ultra.

I was at Ultra in Downers this morning. They had quite a bit of the Allegra 5 ct. if you still have your coupons and can’t find it. Believe it was 5.99. I know it was less than the coupon. Not something I use so I didn’t pick it up. I believe it is their policy to adjust the coupon down. Just thought this may help those still looking for product.

The catalina for the individual size DiGiorno is also running at Ultra. Those pizza’s are on sale for 4/$12 right now. I bought three and got back a $2 off your next purchase.

Also, if you are buying the Sunmaid raisin bread, on sale for $1.69, look for loafs that have a .55 peelie for the purchase of raisins, 6 oz or larger package. The coupon doesn’t expire until Dec. 31. I found these at the Downers Grove store.

I just came back from the Wheaton Ultra, where the Planters peanut butter was on sale for $1.49! With the $1.00 coupon (print out) it came to 49 c./jar. Very good deal!
