Here are the best deals I see at Ultra Foods for the week of 9/2/10. I’m using the Lombard version of their ad, so note that pricing can vary between stores, particularly on the extreme value meat deals, so check your own store’s ad to verify.

In-ad manufacturer coupon goodness

There’s a new $3.00/5 participating Quaker products. Now, if you get an ad in the mail tomorrow or sweet talk your store into giving you one early, use it at Jewel on their Quaker sales ending Wed. If you instead use it at Ultra, it makes the instant oatmeal and aunt jemima syrup 5/$7.00 after coupon.

Labels for education

There’s an in-ad coupon for 100 labels for Education bonus points wyb 5 participating products. You need to cut it out and give the coupon + 5 UPCs + the cash register receipt to your local school before 11/30/10.

Things to know at Ultra

On coupons: Some Ultras will only accept printable coupons if they have the second squiggly dotscan barcode (such as the ones from Coupons.com), so no SmartSource, E-centives, or PDF coupons. They will not accept manufacturer coupons with other stores’ logos on them, nor will they accept other stores’ OYNO Catalinas. At many Ultras, Catalinas will NOT print at the self-checkouts, so use the registers. Ultra accepts expired manufacturer coupons back 30 days; they do not accept expired store coupons. Also watch when they scan multi-item coupons (like $1.00/3) — these often scan wrong at Ultra and you’ll need to have them manually correct it.

Ultra will give you a $.05 credit for each reusable bag you bring in and use, so be sure to mention them to your cashier.
