Here are a few TP options for your week, since this is one of the items people are always asking for deals on…
Walgreens
The Cottonelle deal gets you 12 big rolls for net $2.00 after coupons/RR.
That’s $.17 per big roll.
CVS
Charmin Basic 12 ct, $4.99, get $1.00 ECB limit 1. Use $.25/1 in the 5/1 PG, pay $4.74 with $1.00 ECB, for a net cost of $3.74/12 double rolls.
That’s $.31 per double roll.
Amazon
Make sure you’re logged in, then go to the Amazon coupons page here. Refresh (Ctrl-R) until you see $.25/1 Charmin, then click to add it to your account. (Coupons reset tomorrow 5/1, but this one has been in here every month… even if it isn’t, meh, $.25.) You can pick up Charmin Basic Double Rolls, 12-Count (Pack of 4)
for $19.14 shipped with subscribe & save. (Which is more than at CVS, but the CVS limit is one, and you’ll pay tax up front… which’ll be $.42 on your 12 rolls, assuming 8.25% tax.)
That’s $.40 per double roll.
Target
Scott extra soft double roll 24 pack, $9.99. In the 5/1 SS there is a coupon for a free $5.00 Target gift card wyb 2 Scott 24-pack extra soft double roll. Buy two for $19.98. Use two $1.00/1 from the 3/2 SS (expires 5/1, so do it on Sunday!) and the $5.00 gift card coupon. Pay $17.98. Get $5.00 back for a net cost of $12.98/48 double rolls.
That’s $.27 per double roll.
To figure things out
Which is the best deal? That’s a really good question. The way to compare apples to apples is to figure out the total square footage. But what brands call “big” and “double” rolls are not consistent across brands. Plus, it’s worth it to pay a bit more for a brand your husband won’t have a fit about… just saying…

That Amazon deal is just about worth doing for convenience alone. My couponing mojo is low these days.
Thanks, Rachel! I was already stressing about getting to Walgreens before they’re all out. It’s nice to have some options!
Hi Rachel, FYI your Cottonelle link for Walgreens is incorrect. It takes you to a Febreze site.
Hmm, yeah, you probably don’t want to mix that up…
This is regards to walgreens. In the May coupon book if you spend 20.00 and you are a aarp member you get a 5.00 coupon. After buying the 2 tylenol creams (my cost 1.78) and the cottonelle and my husbands favorite arizona ice tea (a case) it was a nice surprise to get the 5.00 on top of the cottonelle ones.
I did the Walgreens/Cottonelle deal. And I actually had a $ .75 off coupon to use on it as well. (I think it was from the Jewel/Kimberly Clark, giftcard consolation prize pack ::rolls eyes:: ). So that made my Cottonelle packs 1.88/ea.
These are 232.8 sq ft/ea pack (a penny or less per sq ft is my stock up price), so I would consider this a great deal!
I went to Wags to check out the Cottonelle deal; read that Cottonelle uses 1 ply sheets and put it back. TP is the ONE THING for which I remain brand loyal.
Figuring out how much TP you are getting is the WORST
Personally, I always pick a lower price on a smaller roll, because with 3 little kids I figure odds are that any given roll will get dumped in the toilet, unrolled all over the house, etc.
I second that! I have 2 1/2 yr old triplets. I’ve had 6 rolls dumped in just the last couple of months! With potty training soon I stocked up on the single sheets and am keeping the double rolls safely in my stockpile.
Here’s another idea. Do the gift card deal at Dominick’s. Use your $10 OYNO for the Charmin 24-Big Roll Tissue that’s $11.99 with the in ad coupon. $1.99 for 24 big rolls!
