Target shopping — cheap Yoplait and clearance meatPosted at 4:56 pm by rachel in shopping trips, target
I have been to Target more this week than in the last six months, lol. I’ll tell you about the whole Old El Paso/Ragu gift card deal in a separate post next so no one misses it — what’s with all these unadvertised gift card deals? sheesh.
Anyway: Most Christmas clearance was 70% off, candy was still marked 50%, and there wasn’t a whole lot of anything left. At the Lombard Target they still had about six of those clearance pine scented cat litters on an endcap, and they had RAISED the price on the clearance Coffee-Mate from $.97 to $1.69.
One thing to look for: Holiday flavors of Betty Crocker cookie mix (this one was mint chocolate chip) — at my store they scanned $.62. There’s a $.75/2 in the 11/18 and 12/9 SS, and there WAS a $.60/1 printable on the Betty Crocker site last month, which is now gone.
What did I buy today?
Clearance (almost 2 lbs) chuck roast, $3.88. This expires tomorrow, so I’ll either throw it in the freezer or put it in the crockpot tomorrow night and make Italian beef.
6 Old El Paso taco shells, $7.14. Used two $.60/3 printables.
4 Ragu, $6.36. Used two $.60/2 Target printables.
Reach floss, $.97. Used $1.00/1 printable.
8 Simplait yogurts, $4.00. Used four $.40/1 printables and four $.30/1 printables.
Paid $16.43 (part on old gift cards and part in cash). Got back a $5.00 gift card for Old El Paso and Ragu. Net cost: $11.43. (Would have been ~$7.50 without the addition of the impulse roast, not bad!)
