- $19.99 for a one-year Sunday-edition subscription with home delivery (a $103.48 value)
- $37.99 for a two-year Sunday-edition subscription with home delivery (a $206.96 value)
There is a ZIP look up on the Groupon site where you can see if you are in the qualifying delivery area for this promo. Here’s the fine print:
Limit 1 per person, may buy 1 additional as a gift. Limit 1 per order. Limit 1 per household. Valid only for new subscribers or those who have not received home delivery in past 30 days. Not valid for renewals. Must provide purchaser name, phone #, delivery name, and shipping address at checkout. Delivery begins upon purchase, provided all delivery info is submitted. Well, won’t they still deliver a paper to the SAME address?
The last name on the acct. would be the same in my case, yet I do have a different phone number (cell) I could add?

OK…I am new to groupon…I purchased this deal, now how do I redeem it? It says I have to activate my subscription, how do I do that? Thanks!
Lynette, I signed into my Groupon account and under “my Groupons ” this is what I see………
” 1. No need to do anything else! By purchasing this Groupon and providing your name and shipping address, you’ve completed the order.
2. Once you activate your subscription (by purchasing), your information will automatically be uploaded into Tribune database and your paper will arrive within 2-3 weeks.
3. Enjoy!
To me this means I activated the Groupon by making the purchase and will begin to receive the papers in 2-3 weeks. I hope I am right and that this helps…
Thanks Don…that’s what I’m thinking too, but the part about activating my subscription confused me so I wanted to be sure.
Last time they offered this I tried to do it because our current Sunday paper subscription is in my husband’s name and I haven’t had a subscription in my name in years. It let me order the Groupon, but a few days later I received an email stating I didn’t meet the requirements of the deal and my money was being refunded. I was going to argue that I met all the requirements of the deal (nowhere did it say I couldn’t share the address of a current subscriber or the last name of a current subscriber), but life was too busy to argue at the time.
I haven’t looked at the fine print of this deal, but I’d have to guess nothing much changed.
Just a YMMV warning.
