Thanks for the French’s to Dena — who spotted these big cans of French’s fried onions on clearance at the Lombard Jewel a couple days ago for $.99. There were still a LOT left when I was there this morning, and best by dates were either Nov. 2013 or Oct. 2014. There are $1.00/1 blinkies at the Glen Ellyn Dominick’s to make these FREE. (Note: The blinkies didn’t scan and she punched them in manually at $.99 each — I wasn’t going to argue about $.08 in overage; I’ll save that for a time when it matters, lol.) There’s also a $.50/1 in the 12/9 SS, if you don’t find the blinkies.

Dominick’s shopping

So first I had to go to Dominick’s to get the blinkies… so I picked up 8 of those and the following:

4 Reach floss, $3.96. Used $1.00/2 in the 1/6 SS and $1.00/2 printable.
Campbell’s Go Soup, $1.99 with in-ad coupon. Used $1.00/1 from the 1/13 SS.
Mt. Olive hot banana pepper rings, $1.99. Used $1.00/1 hangtag.

Paid with a $3.00 Catalina from Capri Sun the other day and $1.34 in cash. Got back $4.00 in Catalinas: $3.00 for floss and $1.00 for Campbell’s. Net cost: $.34.

Jewel shopping

Well, first I stopped at Mobil on the way and used some Dominick’s gas rewards — had $.10 off a gallon so saved a whopping $1.16. It’s something, lol.

8 clearance French’s fried onions, $7.92. Used eight $1.00/1 blinkies that she punched in at $.99 each.
1/2 lb Di Lusso turkey, $4.31. Used $1.00/1 in the 1/13 SS.
1/2 lb Di Lusso turkey, $3.99 = free with the BOGO sale. Used $1.00/1 in the 1/13 SS.

Paid $2.52. So for the day: Out of pocket I spent $3.86. My net cost was $2.86.

Stuff I saw

Dominick’s had new Gevalia K-Cups for $6.99 with $1.00/1 blinkies in front, so $5.99 for 12 after coupon or $.50 a K-Cup.

Jewel had Hungry Jack instant hash browns marked BOGO at $2.29 til something like March 4. Use two $.50/1 from the 1/6 SS to get two for $1.29, or $.65 each. Lombard Jewel had Krusteaz gingerbread cookie mix clearanced at $1.00 — I checked and the printable is no longer available, though. And they had Pure & Natural Huggies clearanced at 50% off, so $4.75-ish.

Also at Jewel I got a Catalina alert: Get $5 in free groceries when you spend $50 or more on select gift cards in a single transaction between 2/3-2/14/13. Limit one coupon per qualifying and two per redeeming transaction. Pictures: Bass Pro Shops, Regal, AMC, and Spa Finder.
