It’s icky out! What’s with this rain/snow/sleet stuff. Anyway… Today I popped by Dominick’s, then quickly detoured through Ultra Foods and CVS on the way back home. (Again, all my stores are close together! lol)

Dominick’s

2 Rustic Crust gluten free dairy free pizza crusts, $6.18. Used two $1.00/1 printables.
10 jars of Planters peanuts, $19.90 with Just for U $1.99 per jar pricing. Used ten $1.00/1 coupons. (These are in the 1/27 SS or print $1.00/1 here when you allow the app and send a card to a FB friend.)

Paid with $5.00 in Catalinas from last week (Reach floss, Campbell’s Go Soup) and $9.92. Net cost: $14.92.

CVS

2 Crest Pro-Health toothpaste, $5.00. Used two $1.00/1 that came with mailed samples and $2.00/2 CVS store coupon from the magic coupon machine.

Paid $1.41. Got back $2.00 ECB for a net cost of… made $.59.

Ultra Foods

8lb Russet potatoes, $.88.
Four 100-ft Glad cling wrap, $3.96. Used four $1.00/1 printables. (Sign up and it will give you the link to print — this worked for me in IE but not Firefox.)
2 tiny Pillsbury crescent rolls, $1.94. Used two $1.00/1 printables from that briefly lived Facebook promo a couple of weeks ago, no longer available.

Got $.05 off for bringing my own bag. Paid $1.09.

So for the day… my out of pocket cost was $12.42. My net cost was $15.42, since I started with $5.00 in Catalinas and ended with $2.00 in ECB.

Thanks to CVS and Ultra I now have laundry detergent to last me another 6 months. And I was down to my last bottle! Yay! Thanks for helping me save money! :)

LOL! I keep looking at the Purex — but I somehow have TONS of detergent here. But realized yesterday that we somehow ran out of bleach. How does that happen?

      • Charlotte says:

Haha, want some? I hardly use bleach, but got like 6 big jugs during one of my first couponing spree. I might go through it all by the time kids to go college. If I’m lucky. ;)

LOL. Used a bunch of ours getting the mildew out of the seal of our front loader HE washer. GRR. Remind me not to buy one of those again.

          • Susan C. says:

So how did you get the mildew out of the seal. I have run just bleach in the drum of my front loader like the technicial suggested. I have wiped down the seal. I leave the door open (for both the machine and the soap dispenser) and still have it on the seal.

          • Charlotte says:

Yeah, I don’t know what it is with American front loaders. I’ve lived in Europe the majority of my life, and Europeans do not have this issue. I guess the design is different. But you’d think that companies like Whirlpool, that operate on both continents would get that right.

Nice trip in this ugly weather! I couldn’t get the Glad coupon on Firefox either. Anyway, if anyone did print it, and isn’t near an Ultra, Wags has a store coupon in this weeks flyer for 200′ Glad wrap for $1.99 each, limit 2.

  3. SoapboxTray says:

Bummer my pricing is $2.89 on the nuts! Blah.

  4. Kay says:

OH! I *may* have had a flash of brilliance – happens now and then. Ultra is not too close to me, but Walmart is! I can price match at Walmart for the Ultra ad!!! Has anyone tried that? I would have to download the Ultra ad – they have it online right?

looking to buy neosporan does any one have a deal?

  6. Amy says:

I loaded the Planters peanuts, but mine says “1.99 each one-time” and not “unlimited”

Does this matter? Or can I only get one jar for that price?

    Thanks!

    • rachel says:

The “one-time” means it will only work in one transaction — so you can buy a bunch of jars, but only on one trip, and then it won’t come off again if you go back a second time.

  7. Jane says:

Walmart wants the item to be an “advertised” price for the very reason that they will not have to match every item in every stores prices. We have been price matching Aldi’s bananas @ 44 cents per lb. for months and one time the checker asked me if they were listed in the ad. She said it had to be in order to match!

So I wanted to price match the 49 cent Reach toothbrushes from Krogers Mega Event this week since Krogers never got any in and the CS lady asked if they were IN THE AD!? My coupons were to expire that day and the sale was ending THAT DAY. I probably should not have tried to price match those since I knew they were not in the actual ad that week. (the sale had been going for 2 wks)

She matched them anyway but now I feel kinda bad as I don’t want to do something unethical. I am going to reread their policy and hope to follow the rules to the letter in the future. It is sort of a gray area….anyone else have any feelings on their price match?

  8. Outlander says:

At every register there is a sign saying that you can price match and they DON’T need an ad. But the other day, I went to price match Skippy PB from Food 4 Less ad so I put the ad on my phone so I can show them, just to be nice and show that I’m not trying to scam them. The guy tells me he can’t price match it because they don’t PM online prices!?! I said that’s not an online price, I’m just trying to be nice and show you the ad. He says his manager said he can’t do it. So I said, Well forget I showed you anything, and since I don’t have to show you anything (and I point to a sign above his head) I’m just TELLING you the price. Then he did it. :)
That was at St. Charles Walmart where a few times that I tried PM, it was always a problem with checking and double checking everything from ads to Qs. I don’t like that store.
