Best Buy

  • A recommendation for your free movies, from Outlander: “I LOOOVE that movie “The Fifth Element”. I even bought it on Amazon, and have it downloaded on my iPad.”

  • From Kari O.: “Have you ever used for free samples? I’ve received a few and saw they did a promotion with South Beach Diet. They are out of those samples but have a link saying ‘Print Coupon’. I clicked it even though I was on my iPad and it actually printed! It felt wild since it didn’t install anything or refer me to an app. It even printed with the “” and qr code.”

Family Dollar

  • Mariana says: “These are on sale for $1.88 at family dollar and they my store had aloha morning

  • Yesterday, Aimee niticed: “I was at Jewel today and Fiora paper towels (8-pk) are on sale for 3.99, plus you can the $1 coupon from this weekend’s paper.”

  • On the Allergy rebate, Jennifer on Facebook shares: “I contacted Zyrtec through FB. They are sending a $10 check. Any other inquiries (like people with out FB, can try their customer service at 1-800-343-7805.”

  • A heads up from Ann on the fare sale: “Check block out dates. Think they are Nov 21-Dec. 2. That takes care of Thanksgiving.”

  • From Dawn on Facebook: “The Target on 63rd St. in Woodridge has 20 pack Capri Sun on clearance for $1.99, same price as a 10 pack.”

  • A question from Dawn: “Has anyone else had problems with Walgreens no longer accepting manufacturer coupons that state “Redeemable at WalMart?” The Reynolds Wrap coupons print with that wording and the manager at my store would not accept it. I pointed out that it is a manufacturer coupon and did not say Redeemable ONLY at WalMart but he said they are not getting reimbursed for these coupons. Anyone else have this problem?”

I had the same problem awhile back when the beef jerky was BOGO. The wording was similar and 2 different Walgreens would not take the coupon. Another Walgreens DID take it. I think it all depends on which one you go to. ANOTHER reason why Walgreens stinks!

    • feelgood says

Same problem here, too. Both the old and the new Walgreens Coupon Policy state that they will not accept competitor coupons. I don’t even try anymore, manager told me they’re not allowed to accept any coupon with another store name on it.

      • says

It’s not a competitor coupon — a competitor coupon is like a target web coupon, a store coupon. Their policy does not say anything about a manufacturer coupon with another store’s name or logo, but ymmv.

I had the same problem and also at Jewel. If coupon has a store name on it neither Walgreens or Jewel will take them even though they are manufacturer coupons

  3. Holly says

I was told well it probably won’t work, but we’ll see if it will scan. Thankfully it scanned.

    • Shandelle says

lol it scanned because it’s just a manufacturer coupon the same as what would come out of the newspaper! It will scan at any store that takes coupons. I hate the coupon sponsorship stuff where the log prints on there and tries to make something confusing that shouldn’t be.

I’ve seen the Aquafina FlavorSplash recently at my CVS (Foster/Broadway in Chicago) with stickers that say “Try me, I’m new!”, so maybe other places will begin to carry them, as well.

      • Shandelle says

Great, that is one of several local CVS stores for me! And I actually really like the FlavorSplash a lot.. when it’s free. I just have a thing about not paying for water (or flavored water). 😉

A couple little Mariano’s deals. Mott’s is $2. was free after $1. IP. The Hawaiian Punch Aloha 3 of the 4 flavors they had were marked $1.79 use the B1G1 IP for 90¢ each giant bottles. Good for making popsicles!

And for anyone that likes Chai, the coffee bar (Vero) makes the best Chai latte that I have ever had, and I am usually partial to the lady in green.
