Amazon

  • An idea from Bridget: “As strange as it sounds, I used to give one or two of these, yes fire extinguishers, as wedding gifts when I was in my 20s. It was a very practical gift that I didn’t mind giving that was never used.”

CVS

  • Cari reports: “Did 2 orders of Diet Coke today. 3/$9-$1/3 peelie=$8 x 2 =$16 and earned back a $10 gas card. Gas card is earned off of pre- discounted price of $5 per 12 pack =D”

Jewel

  • For the cheap Perdue nuggets, Samantha shares: “There is also a $2 off manufacturer coupon on the Target site :)”
  • Kelly posts on Facebook: “My daughter and I went to see How to Train Your Dragon 2 last night for FREE. Last week at Jewel (Wheaton), they had tear pads by the Hormel pepperoni packs in the packaged deli meat section. If you bought 3 pepperoni packs in one transaction, you could submit your receipt via text photo and get a $13 Movie voucher for that movie only. I bought 6 and got two free tickets. You can pick the theater and it was valid at most all in the area. The tear pads were still there as of Sunday. Had a little hiccup with submitting one receipt for 2 tickets, but it worked itself out quite easily. I had also used the $1/2 coupon that was available on coupons.com and in a recent insert.
  • An idea from Jane on the Short Cuts deal: “Could you buy 4 and use 4 manuf. coupons plus use a printable $1/2 coupon on the 2 free bags of spinach? I was thinking about those salad swap ones. Also, I have seen some lately on coupons.com under another zip code. They may be gone now? That would bring it down to $4 for all 3 ($8 for 6 items) for $1.33 each!” We’ll have to see if it stacks like that. And yes, the $1.00/2 coupons are gone now.

  • Kim asks: “Where is the cheapest place to buy quinoa?”

I got an email a week or so ago, that my Osmocote rebate has been approved and it’s coming soon. Didn’t get it yet though.

I did get my $20 Allergy rebate though. Just came in an email. Electronic credit card. Already used it on Amazon. :)

I got my $20 allergy rebate too! I also got my Zantac rebate, but they shorted me $1. It was $18.99 and I used a $3 WAGS and $6 MFR coupon, netting $9.99…They only sent me $8.99. Boo! Luckily, I used coupons because even though the rebate form says that you’ll get a check up to $20, the rebate letter says up to $11. Anybody else get shorted?

@katy, I had a little bit of luck at my local thrift store, but honestly you have to find one that separates out the maternity clothes! It’s nearly impossible otherwise. (The Unique on Western and Howard in Chicago does have a maternity section, but that’s really the only shop I frequent that does.) I also did really well at Kohl’s. They have so many sales and coupons that I was able to get stuff for a pretty good price. They carry Destination Maternity’s low-market line, but I actually found a few pieces that were exactly the same as items at their pricier store with just a different label (and for much cheaper)! I wasn’t able to find stuff that worked for me, but I’ve also seen a good buys on Craigslist. Often people will sell a whole lot of clothes at a time, and you can get a whole wardrobe that way. It’s what I’m planning on doing with my maternity clothes shortly, once I’m back into regular clothes.

Kelly, fyi, if you use Ibotta there is also $1 back for How to Train Your Dragon 2 if you went to see it at a participating theater.

    • kelly says

Dang it. I did not see that. Thanks for letting me know. I did not go to one of those theaters. I rarely check outside the grocery section on Ibotta. Learned my lesson. Next time I’ll see what other goodies are hidden in the bowels of Ibotta.

  5. Krystle says

Update on the Neutrogena SPF deal, Ibotta added a $2 bonus rebate when you but 1 “spray” and 1 “lotion”. So I bought 1 kids stick/lotion @ 7.99 and 1 wet skin spray @ 9.99. Discounts looked like this..
    Target BOGO 50% sale – 3.60
    Cartwheel – $1.80
Target Q’s from the summer contest (available to print a while back) -$2.00 (2 x $1)
    MFG – $4/2 Neutrogena body products 5/4SS
Total OOP= 6.58 ($2 back wet, $2 back lotion, and $2.00 bonus for buying both through Ibotta. Plus $3.00 back from Checkout51)
But the deal gets even better! If your “TEAM” redeems $10 worth, you can earn an extra $1 TEAM BONUS, and you will also be eligible for the $0.50 “TRIPLE PLAY bonus” .
So a $3.92MM, I love Target! Coupons scanned no problem and I have already received notifications from both apps accepting my rebates/ showing bonus offers received.
