Binny’s

  • April spotted: “Binnys is running a sale for Lindemans wine. Chardonnay and Shiraz are priced at $ 3.99 for Binnys members ( it takes a minute to get their membership card and its free too). There is a rebate form available right in the store: Save up to $12 by mail on any Lindermans bin wine 750ml or 1.5ml. $3 off 1 bottle, $7 off 2 bottles, $12 off 3 bottles. So when you buy 3 bottles, they would be completely free!!! You have to pay tax and postage.”

Dollar Tree

  • Amanda H found: “Bourbonnais Dollar Tree has 3 pack Chex Mix boxes for $1 (Rice, Wheat, Corn). 3 for $1 isn’t bad”

Meijer

  • Ashley comments: “Johnsonville Brats or Fresh Italian Sausage Links 4/21/14 – 5/18/14 Buy 3 Get a $1 Catalina Buy 4 Get a $2 Catalina Buy 5 or more Get a $3 Catalina”
  • She also says: “Just a heads up the buy 8 save $8 are the same deal, not separate.”
  • And she also shares: “Buy $25 get $10 instant: Schick Razors $6.89-$7.79 – $4/1 MC – $1/1 TQ – $10 instant wyb $25 = $2.44 mm to $1.16 oop for four razors (you get overage because they type in TQ or you could just use less TQ if you prefer) Banana Boat/Hawaiian Tropic PSA $5.09 -$2/1 hang tags – $10 instant wyb $25 = $5.45 oop for 5 or $1.09 each” YMMV on the overage since Meijer policy doesn’t allow it, but I could see how it could happen as she described above.
  • She has some scenarios for next week as well: “Next week at Meijer Be sure to clip the reward! Lysol Toilet Bowl Cleaner $1.67 each Lysol Travel Wipes $1 Lysol Travel Sprays $1.50 $3/$15 instant savings Buy 10 TB cleaners $16.70 – $3 instant savings – Five $2/2 coupons = $3.70 or $0.37 each Buy 16 wipes for $16 – $3 instant savings – Eight $2/2 coupons = $3 overage Buy 10 sprays for $15 – $3 instant savings – Five $2/2 coupons = $2 oop or $0.20 each Be sure to clip the reward!! • She clarifies: “The cold and flu book ones that are manufacturer from wags And the [reward] amounts vary that’s why I didn’t list a dollar amount. The categories are the same. Like mine may be $6/$30 but a less frequent shopper may get $5/$15. The amount is based off spending, but we all get same categories”

Menards

  • From Tammy: “Just a reminder that Menard’s carries a generic version of the bags at a very good price. I find they work just as well as the name brand.”
  • Kari O. responds: “Are you talking about the Ziploc rolls and bags? I just went and that’s the only kind I could find. It says they work with “other vacuum sealers” but are still pretty expensive. The cheapest I’m finding lately are Weston brand on Amazon. Haven’t bought any yet though. Still researching.”
  • Tammy replies: “Not  Ziploc.  They’re called ZipVac Universal.  My Menards was out last summer when I looked, but maybe a month later they had them back in stock.   I can’t remember how much they were, but I think maybe half the price of the name brands.  The first time I bought them, they had rebates too!  :-)”

Reader requests

  • A question from evelyn: “The zantac rebate is up and it says in the fine print- Purchase price calculated net of any coupons and excluding tax- so what happens if you buy several items in the same transaction how will they calculate which coupon you used for the zantac?”
  • Maggie sends over: ”
My 9-year old son needs reading glasses. Where can I go to find a fun and reasonably priced pair? I just tried Target and Walmart but they don’t have a special kid selection. I hope one of your readers can help me out.”

Target

  • Tamara says: “I don’t have the $.75/1 for Orbit, but was happy to find this deal. Orbit for kids gum on sale for .48. With the .50 Target printable, it was free! I also did the 2 raspberries for $5. Used $2/5 mobile coupon (RECIPE) and used 2 $.50/1 driscoll coupons from the surveys to make them $1 each. (I had a .75/1 in e-mail, but forgot to print – oops!)”

Walgreens

  • On previous senior discount days, Nora recalls: “The discount was lower on clearance items, but I’m not sure of the exact difference. I just remember looking at my receipt once and seeing a different % off for different items. So, on some level, I guess I knew about this. LOL”
  • A find from April: “Thank you for everyone who posted about Target Skinny Girl sale. I started looking for the sale today and found Skinny Girl Rose wine on Clarence at Walgreens for $7.19 a bottle. It was in Lombard on Roosevelt. .19 c a bottle after rebate, but before tax.”

Walmart

  • Kitty reports: “Last time I bought the 4 pack of White Cloud at the Niles Walmart, it was $2.36.  Not sure if all Walmarts have same prices.”

My store out in south suburbs called Countryside has the same price ! was able to print about 10 $2 coupons last month and all worked fine (:

Target at Wilson Yard (Broadway and Sunnyside) had tons of items with clearance tags in the salsa area. I picked up a jar of Chi Chi’s for $1.77 (no coupons off single jars that I know of). Many other brands were tagged also including Pace and Totino’s in all sorts of different sizes. I also noticed they have the Hormel Compleats breakfast on clearance for $1..86, use the $1 coupon from April All You (Exp 5/6) or $1 coupon from 4/3 SS to get them for $.86. Not sure how good these are but I figured the oatmeal was the safest kind to try. :)

lol TOSTITO’s not Totino’s… don’t think the pizza roll people are making salsa quite yet!
