Activities

  • On the Sound of Music, Erin says: “Man! Got these tickets on goldstar before christmas for about 40 bucks a piece (still a value on the main floor!) This show is worth a checkout–the gal who plays Maria did a great job!”

Dollar Tree

  • Sara shares: “Stopped by dollar tree today in Plainfield–a few items to note” -they again had the 15.5 oz boxes of post Honey Bunches of Oats -They had Kraft Homestyle Mac and Cheese with bacon. -They had Pop Tarts Gone Nutty peanut butter flavored–there are coupons out there for.40 cents off these from a recent circular.”

Reader deals

  • Sandy K-G is wondering: “On the reader deals for 4/27/14, there was a reminder to go to Shell gas stations today for .22 off with the fuel rewards card. We went, but the attendant didn’t’ know anything about it but it is on their website. I tried to comment on that string in your blog, but for some reason I can’t expand the list to do so. Is there a way you can put this question out to the group to see if anybody had success [yesterday]? We got .03 off – something, but not the .22 we were expecting.” Three cents is what you get no matter what when you use the FRN card.
  • A Maidenform question from rose: “Anyone have a coupon that could be used with the free shipping?”
  • Rosemary in Hot Deals asks: “For Mariano’s double daze, do you know if you’re only allowed 1 – $25 transaction?”

Screen repair

  • Kari O. warns: “These are really hard to do on your own. If your screen is broken I highly suggest visiting a 911 Tech Repair. They have two locations one in Crystal Lake and the other in Arlington Heights. They’re reasonably priced, fast and do quality work. My husband has broken his screen a few times and they were able to fix it quickly.”

Surveys

  • Nikki says: “I like Opinion Outpost, mostly because the payout threshold is so low.”

Target

  • Barbara reports: “The Target in Joliet and Shorewood have the Speed Stick Gear on clearance for $3.38 but no gift card offer with it.”
  • Also on the Speed Stick Gear, something to look for from Outlander: “There were tear pads for $2/1 a month or two ago around too. I found them at Walmart.”
  • From Kari O.: “I found 50% off clearance bags of frozen market pantry chicken at Target today and discovered they qualified for the $1/1 mobile coupon from texting RECIPE to Target (827438). After coupon I paid $1.88-$2.24 per 20 oz bag which is awesome. I also did the string cheese deal that Susan shared! Plus I found discounted Old El Paso meals! It was a good trip and worth the drive since I found these items in Lake Zurich.

Ultra Foods

  • From Charlotte: “The P&G site has some Always, Bounty, Tide and other coupons to go with the P&G Deal.”
  • She also found: “Ultra Foods in Downers Grove had carts full of clearnaced stuff by the checkouts this morning. $0.50 Old Orchard berry juice, expiration 5/14. Ice Mountain Sparkling water, lemon flavour also $0.50, could not find an expiration on those. And loads of other stuff.”

Walmart

  • A heads up from Melanie on Facebook: “If you got the Free Bacon Ritz coup be careful, it says free up to 2.50 but mine only scanned 1.48 at Walmart for 2.50 box had to go service desk for my 1.02 back.”

For the gas, I believe if you use the FRN card on Wednesday’s, you will get an email to add the .22 off to your card for a future purchase. HTH!

On the gas, I thought it said .22 off and if you have the FRN card you get .22 off more. Confusing. I forgot to go yesterday. There probably isn’t any such promo going on. They just want to get you in there. I would have left!!!!

    • Samantha says

If the NASCAR driver sponsored by Shell wins the race over the weekend, you’ll get the .22 on that following Wednesday and the email for the .22 off the future purchase.

It’s a legit deal. I got an e-mail on Monday and this is what it said:

      – Purchase fuel this WINsday, April 30, 2014 using your Shell Saver Card
      – You’ll receive an email with an FRNTM Rewards Code following your WINsday fuel purchase
      – Log in to your Fuel Rewards Network Account at fuelrewards.com and enter the rewards code. Your additional 22 cents per gallon in Fuel Rewards® savings will be instantly applied to your account

Honestly Melanie/Mashup Mom, THAT @ WALMART RITZ DEAL!

Why or how do you get paid on overage back from a coupon? Doesn’t seem right, cause, it’s not right!. Sorry I am a retired retail worker and I do no like that kind of expectation at customer service,….They either need to adjust down or you buy 2 boxes for cheap…but Mashup mom for you to repost this like it’s ok, it’s NOT OK! …..It is desperate for a deal….not worth the bad reputation for the rest of us!

Time to TAKE THE POST DOWN!

This mobile q is live now, but will be in this coming sundays ad (5/4). I bought 3 st ives face scrub @ 3.89 and 2 Garnier Fructis hair color @ 6.99 = $25.65. Minus $5/20 mobile q, 3 x $0.75 st ives TQ, $3/10 st ives MFG, 2 x $2/1 Garnier fructis haircolor (4/6RP) = $11.40. Plus you will earn $10 in Target gift cards (I rolled some), paid with red card, and used 1 reusable bag. Ended up paying $1.28 before tax for 5 items, or around 25 cents per item.

  5. Maria says

@Rosemary – I have wondered the same thing. I did find out last week that you do not have to scan your Mariano’s card. The coupons will still double.

Bourbonnais Dollar Tree has 3 pack Chex Mix boxes for $1 (Rice, Wheat, Corn). 3 for $1 isn’t bad :)
