Amazon

  • Outlander says: “I found this book at my library to help with Windows 8.1. No, I’m not a senior. :)”

Bridal gowns

  • To add to yesterday’s collection, Mandi says: “For wedding dresses- try house of hope in Barrington. Some of the dresses are older, but alot of them were donated from wedding boutiques for the tax write off. I found mine there -never been worn, beautiful hand beaded detailing all over the dress. I just had to get it hemmed. All the dresses are $50. The veils range in price. Also the ladies that work there are very friendly. They also have formal dresses for bridesmaids/ mother of the bride. Check their website, they have particular hours. Hope this helps!”

Costco

Cost Plus World Market

  • From John W: “Weds. April 23 is World Market’s one day BOGO coffee sale on their house brand 12 oz. coffees, which start at $5.99 (regular and decaf, it’s a very good deal on decaf). So, get 6 coffee for $17.97, use a 10% off coupon (via email or the 4/13 World Market ad, or joining at worldmarketexplorer.com/benefits) to make it $16.17, plus members (World Market Explorer) will get double coffee credits, enough for one free bag of coffee in the future (you can get the expensive kinds for free, too). So that’s 7 bags of coffee for $2.31 each, a great deal on good coffee.”

Coupons

  • Theresa posts on Facebook: “In today’s Chicago Tribune, the back cover of the wrap-around for the sales inserts has a nice Brach’s candy coupon – $1 off any one Brach’s product, 12 oz. or smaller. Expires 6/1/14. Wanted to point it out, since it is easy to miss.” Yesterday, I got this in my hand-delivered ads and Rachel got it in her mailed ads.

CVS

  • On the allergy rebate, Suzann wonders: “Do you have to buy the 48 count? If you could do the 24 count as Jenny at the Southern Savers blog points out your mm would be over $14.00.” The rebate doesn’t seem to specify a size.

  • Raegan posts in Hot Deals: “Some of the EB Farms 5oz salads have $1/2 peelies on them too.” I have seen them at Meijer recently as well.

I want to thank Outlander for posting the link to the book about Windows 8.1.

I have put off buying a new computer for almost a year because I refuse to deal with Windows 8. My husband has it – and it is a real nightmare.

Hopefully, this book – and the return of the start button – will help me make the transition.

I have been gradually turning off some of the annoying Windows 8 features on my laptop here — when something bothers me enough I google how to make it stop, lol.

    • Artie says

The rumored date for Windows 9 is April 2015. Hopefully the computer I’m using now will last until then.

  2. Shandelle says

Target has California Pizza Kitchen pizzas on price cut for $5 each (reg $6.19). You can use the $2/2 Target printable and two $1.50 manufacturer bricks printables from the CPK site (Not sure the bricks link is still working or it may be out of prints now) to get both for $5.

Also I noticed this week that Jewel registers are printing out some pretty decent high value catalina coupons. I always go through self scan and yesterday and today I received: $1.50 off 1 Ultimate Hamburger Helper (Exp 5/21), $1.50 off 1 box of Chocolate Toast Crunch or Multi Grain Dark Chocolate Crunch Cheerios (Exp 5/20), $1 off 1 Campbell’s skillet or slow cooker sauce (Exp 7/15), and two $1 off 1 Philadelphia cream cheese tubs!

    • Shandelle says

They are all manufacturer catalinas, too, so you could take them elsewhere such as Walmart or whatever other stores will accept the ones that have Jewel’s logo on it.

For those who use Shopkick, I noticed one show up to receive 1000 kicks for scanning any fuel-efficient Ford vehicle. lol so what are you supposed to scan? Anyone try this? I mean, cars don’t have barcodes.. does the VIN work? The nearest Ford dealer to me in the city is like 8 miles away so I’m not sure if this will be more trouble than its worth. I googled and found all sorts of people wondering the same thing and saying the car salesmen had no clue what they were talking about. Apparently this is an offer only for the greater Chicago area.

I noticed in Ibotta there is $1 back on a 5.3 oz Yoplait greek yogurt cup (any flavor but excludes Greek 100) which is a Walmart exclusive rebate. These are 10 for $10 at Jewel right now. Not sure what Walmart sells this product for, but I plan to price match Jewel if they’re higher for a free yogurt. :)

  5. DON OCONNELL says

Thank you for posting the fund raiser / family fun night to help keep safe and secure animals at the local rescue. These outings make it possible for us to keep these animals alive. As a volunteer I see 1st hand all the good we do with the funds.

  6. Amanda says

Thanks to Outlander for the Piggly Wiggly milk deal! I needed some tonight and was passing it on the way home. Thank you!

  7. Suzann says

For table runners try Pier One…if you have any sewing skills and a sewing machine you can easily whip up your own.
Calico Corners is wonderful for picking the fabrics, cording and any other trim.
Try to find a stand alone store that sells china and crystal because they usually have once or twice year clearance sales
and they carry all sorts of table top linens.

  8. Mandy says

I’ve seen table runners at Dollar General and Dollar Tree. I’ve picked up a lot of kitchen linens at Dollar General in their clearance section.

  9. Kelly's says

For the Treat and Smooth allergy rebate, I emailed and asked them if there were any size restrictions. Here’s their answer:
“That is a great question. According to the terms and conditions there is not restrictions on the size of the product in the program.”

So I guess that means the 24 ct is a go!

  10. Victoria says

I have Catalina manufacture coupon from Target… Just making sure I can use it at CVS since I am short one $4 one from two weeks ago?

      • Shandelle says

Out of curiosity, which other stores will take the catalina manufacturer coupons from other stores? I know Walmart does. Anyone else take them?

        • says

Jewel is SUPPOSED to take them unless they say redeem “only at,” but there is mass confusion about this and some do, some don’t. Ultra is supposed to take them, but again, Ultra it may be an argument. lol

  11. VB says

It has been a while since I got a 25% off CVS coupon emailed to me. I was wondering if it will still work on items that are in the ad and not specifically on sale but will give a ECB.
