Best Buy

• A tip from Matt: “If you go Best Buy’s website you can actually search what’s on clearance at a particular store before you go there.”

CVS

• Julie confirms: “At CVS the buy $15.oo in select products get $5.00 ecb is a limit of 2 not 1 as stated in add. This includes coke, oreos and the other stuff in the box on page 2 of their add.”
• Kelley shares: “Just got an e-mail from CVS. If you add prescription management to your account, you get 3 free credits towards your pharmacy ECBs.”

Dollar General

• More potential free tampons from rebecca: “in past repHresh boxes have had coupons inside for $1/1 as well.. so check in the boxes after you buy them. You might be able to go in for more free product.”

Dominick’s

• Alex found: “Starting Friday, Pepsi or 7UP products will go on sale for $5. These include 24-pack, 12-oz. cans, 15 pack, etc. If you go on your Just4U and click on the Beverages section, you will find a $2 Pepsi Manufacturer coupon you can use for the $5 Friday.
  Buy 2 Pepsi 24-packs at $5= $10
  Use the coupon loaded on your card which should take $2 off= $8
  For $8 you get 48 cans! (Which is like 4 12 packs)
  These also include Diet Pepsi, Mountain Dew, and other variety of products.
  Each can will cost around $0.16!”

Entertainment Book

• Some advice from Holly on the possible bankruptcy effects: “For those that have ordered and do not recieve the book they can always dispute the charge w/the credit card company if they paid that way. Not sure what to do if paid w/a debit card. I ALWAYS use a credit card for online purchases – partly for this reason.”

Food 4 Less

• A deal idea from kim: “starting 3-13 food 4 less has a mix and match sale of buy 10 get $5 off. Included is Edge shave gel for 98 cents. I bought 3 and used a BOGO print out Q and a $1.00 off getting 3 for 50 cents.”

Hardee’s

• Something to ask about from focadima: “my boys go to college in Dubuque Iowa- at their Hardees location if you show your college id you always get free fries and a drink with lg sandwich purchase!”

• A suggestion regarding the above from letsshop: “why don’t you call CVS and explain your situation and some excuse why you forgot to use them in time . Year or more ago I did the same thing and she put in new Ecb’s in the comp. and voided out old exp. ones !and when I made a purchase they all the new ones printed out. But Berwyn is really good about exp. ones have you tried ?”

Matt is a senior at West Aurora and is using social media to educate about hunger in our own neighborhoods and is seeking non-perishable items to restock these local food pantries: Between Friends (Sugar Grove) and Holy Angels (Aurora). His goal is to collect one ton of non-perishable items. (That’s about 4,000 cans…) He has located drop off boxes at St. Katharine Drexel Parish (Sugar Grove), Marmion High School, West Aurora High School’s A 209 classroom, Fairview Dental (541 W Sullivan Rd. in Aurora) and, of course, our own front porch (Sugar Grove).  Can’t stand driving? Matt will make housecalls for local pickup of goods. Recalls

• Kerry shares some information and has a request: “I had quite the morning which sparked the gain of some interesting information so I thought I would share since we are all consumers: My Mr. Coffee keurig was not working correctly this morning (the water was not being circulated through the machine but instead turning into steam) which prompted me to search online how to fix it. Low and behold, these have been RECALLED because “a build-up of steam can force the brewing chamber to open and expel hot coffee grounds and water, posing a burn hazard”. Thank goodness I did not attempt to make another cup! These coffee makers, series Model BVMC-KG1, were sold at Bed Bath and Beyond, Target, and Walmart. • From SoapboxTray: “The Suave Shampoo (Keratin) is part of the buy 4 get $5. GC. Make sure to only grab the Karatin, the Moroccan is valid on the coupons but NOT on the $5. GC. Buy 4 Use 2- B1G1 Suave in the 3/10RP Use 1- $1. off Suave Target Q Mine ended up being $3 something for all 4 (they deducted the full value of the coupon $5. for the 2 free ones). Also, Mundelein Super Target had lots of the small Bounce boxes at $2.09. I bought 12 this morning and there were at least 30 left on the shelf.”
• Elaine reports: “Bought the TGIFriday’s appetizers that were buy 3 get 1 free. They were $14.22 for four and they were the bigger ones, around 15 ounces. There was a Target coupon from the website for $2 off of 3. I had also printed off the TGIFriday manufacture coupons and was able to use one per item so it was a total of $6 off. It ended up being $8.22 for four of the 15 ounce TGIFriday apps.”

Ultra Foods

• Something Shirley noticed: “I went to Ultra in Wheaton to get milk today and saw tons of Nissin big Cup noodles.” They are 5/$1.00 through today, so free with the $1.00/4 in the 3/3 SS.

Valli Produce

• Matt says: “Pineapples are $1.49 and I have found some really big ones there before. They have the tubs of gummi bears for $1.99/lb. and they have dried apricots or pitted prunes for $2.99/lb.”
