Here are some of the deals (and heads up!) YOU found recently — Thanks! How do you share your own deal?

Big favor: If you mention other sites, online coupons, etc, please include the link. Disclaimer: All of the deals below come straight from readers.

Amazon

CVS

  • Julie’s experience:  “We actually lost our green tag and tried getting another one at 1 CVS near me that was all out, where they explained CVS was phasing it out. As luck would have it, another CVS near us still had them up at the register, so I tried buying 1. The staff had no idea why it wouldn’t ring up, so she took the cardboard off and scanned the green tag. Lucky day, it was my 4th scan, so instead of charging me $1 for the green tag, they actually paid me $1 ECB to take it. Definitely ymmv on this, but if you see one at the registers, you might try buying 1 still.”

Dominick’s

  • Holly shares:  “I work in the Dominick’s bakery. The French (blue/black bag) and Italian (red/black bag) are the .99 cent ones. This includes the presliced ones in the clear bags with the yellow soft French/Italian stickers. Open nature wheat French was also .99 cents last week. Not sure about this week tho I was off today.”
  • Melissa A says:  “I have a personalized price of $6.79 for starbucks coffee, so with 3-$1.50 off coupons and the $6 off when you buy 3, that comes to $9.87 for three bags! Liking this deal!” I have that too and I just bought 12 – $3.29 a bag is great for Starbucks!
  • A find from cran4:  “At Dominicks on 83 in elmhurst today, they have Pillsbury ready to bake valentine cookies for 99 cents with a 50% off sticker making them 50 cents. Bought 3 and used a coupon for 75 cents off 3! There were tons still there!”
  • One to check for from Helen:  “Just got an email from Kelloggs yesterday with $1/1 morningstar

Goodwill

  • Susan posts on Facebook:  “My coffee pot died today and I popped into the Woodridge Goodwill to look for a replacement. No luck on the pot, but they had Dunkin Donuts Pumpkin Spice coffee (my absolute favorite) for $1.99/bag. WooHoo! Now if I could just find a good deal on a small 5 cup coffee maker…..”

Magazines

  • Suzann advises against Reader’s Digest:  “I would avoid this-RDA filed for bankruptcy (the second time) on 02/17/2013.”

Meijer

  • Cindy got dog food:  “Just bought 20 cans of Alpo dog food at 10 for $6 which was not the best price since I loved Petsmart with the .50/can but that is over. So $12, I used 2 1.50 q= $9 BUT it kicked out a $2 ONYO – so yes!!! (because I had no idea it would) + some cans have coupons on them for 1.50 off 12 i case you need them. Works out to $7 and .35 each. Not too bad.”
  • Results from emily:  “I did the Van de Kamps fish deal at Meijer yesterday. $2.99 each with $1 instant savings wyb 2. Used $1 manufacturer q x2. Also, had a $1 off any fresh or frozen seafood mperk that came off. $1/box quality frozen fish (lol) is not bad.”

Reader requests

  • Roberta asks:  “could anyone tell me a good site for kroger match ups? i live in bourbonnais. tia”
  • Marjie answers:  “I don’t know anyone who does a local Kroger matchup. I use krogerkrazy.com. Her store sales start on Monday and usually the same items will be on sale at the Bourbonnais Kroger on Thursday but sometimes the prices are different.”

Target

  • From SoapboxTray:  “Keep a lookout for Market Pantry clearance apple cider. Was at Super Target Mundelein today and they had theirs clearanced to $1.24 and there is a $1. off 2 Market Pantry Juice Target Q. 74¢ each.”

Ultra Foods

  • Emily found:  “Ultra in wheaton has deans skim, 1% and whole gallons on markdown for. 99.  Expirations are between 2-22 and 2-24. Still had a bunch of all as of 730 tonight.”
  • Jane reports:  “Soleil Bic razors are in the ad as $1.88 and we have the $2 off 1 cp. making them FREE but my Ultra put up a disclaimer saying they were in the ad by mistake and will NOT be honoring that sale price! However, the mens one is correctly featured in the ad and is still $1.88. I believe they were both 4 packs.” I think the ad pictures Soleil and Comfort 3 but only lists the Comfort (men’s). The coupons are in the 2/3 SS.

    You can print $1.00 off 2 Palermo’s Pizzza making them 2 for $2.94 at Ultra’s. http://www.palermospizza.com/index.aspx

    • trish says:

Unfortunately, that coupon is not good on the Classics. There are great sales on the other pizzas now and then, so it might prove useful in the future.

  2. Sara says:

One more…30 cents off Chobani yogurt making them .47 cents! You have to sign up here http://www.chobani.com/coupons/

    • trish says:

I have been meaning to ask this – am I the only one that doesn’t get that coupon? When I go there, it shoes $1/bite, $1/Tubes, and .30/cups, but when after I submit the form, it gives me .50/huge container, $1/bite, and $1/Tubes. I may have printed the .30/1 a few times….

Sara does a nice job on her Kroger matchups – here http://dealsinthemitten.com/category/kroger/

  4. Matt says:

I think Reader’s Digest will still be around. A lot of companies file for bankruptcy and just use it as a way to reorganize their business.

  5. Yvette says:

I was also going to post about the $0.50 cookies at Dominicks. I saw tons of them at the Buffalo Grove store.

  6. Francesca says:

@ Jane which ultra was this ? Has anyone been successful on the box soleils this week?

  7. Liz says:

One of the cashiers at my CVS showed me that there is an APP for the Greenbag tag. You can just show it on your phone for them to scan in case you forget yours.

  8. Lisa says:

I price matched the Soleil & Comfort 3 Bic razors for $1.88 (Ultra sale) at WalMart making them a .12 MM with the coupon from 2-3 SS. I had to go there anyway so why make multiple stops?

  9. letsshop says:

Dominicks Artisan French 39cents !!!! unlimited through 2/27
Must be on J4U FOR 99 & $1.99 PLUS 30% off ,the machine take the 30% off 1.99 them some how takes 6o cents discount off your lower price of 99cents and you pay 39 cents .it excludes twin pack and baquettes

    • DON OCONNELL says:

Seems like those % off j4u have been taking from the original price as opposed to clearance or sale prices…. I have been seeing this quite often….. thought?
