Reader deals, 2/22/10
Posted at 10:29 pm by rachel in illinois, inserts, jewel, meijer, reader deals, walgreensHere are some deals from you guys for our Monday! Take the time to share the deals you find with other Mashup Mom readers by emailing me, commenting on the blog, posting to the forum, or posting on the Facebook Wall.
Jewel
- In addition to the $2.99 breaded boxed Tyson chicken working for the YourBucks right now, DianeC says it worked for her on the boxed boneless chicken breast, and Teri says it worked for her on the boxed Anytizers. This may not work forever, so get your orders in now, since the YourBucks site does say bags. There’s a $1.50/1 Anytizers on the Target site and $.55/1 in the 1/24 SS.
- Kate G emails this one: “Jewel has Special K lowfat granola for $1.99. There is a $1 printable here…http://www.specialk.com/products/coupons and my Jewel had a tearpad in front of an endcap of these for buy the cereal, get 2 Dannon Light & Fit yogurt free… 99 cents for the cereal and 2 yogurts!”
Meijer
- Christy emails: “Just wanted to let you know the Betty Crocker potatoes are not rolling at Meijer. If you use the $3 cat to buy five more boxes, you don’t get the $3 cat again. The fruit roll ups are rolling, so I alternated between fruit juice snacks and potatoes. I bought 15 boxes of potatoes and 12 boxes of fruit roll ups for a net $1.70 OOP. They really DO need to build a Meijer near you!”
Menards
- Jane comments: “Menards had 12.6 oz bags of m&ms for $1.50 when I went there for my sunday paper.”
Red Eye
- Abby reminds us: A good way to get free inserts: If you live in Chicago, you can have the Saturday edition of the Red Eye delivered to you for free. Not all of the sale ads are in the paper, usually just CVS and Walgreens, but all of the coupon inserts are there.” Subscribe here
Walgreens
- Jane says: “At Wags on Sunday they had Burt’s Bees spf 15 sunscreen on clearance ($3.50?) and still had those xeroxed coupon sheets at the front door that have $2 off (or $2.50?). I think it says “skincare” on the coupon, but would think sunscreen would count.”

Did anyone else NOT get their Oreo free coupon from Facebook? I went on in time and filled out the form and got the confirmation page, but no coupon has come in the mail. I have read a lot of people saying they got theirs more than a week ago
I got four, for no apparent reason — maybe I got yours.
I, too, received multiple coupons for a single submission. They goofed, and maybe it caused some not to get any coupon at all.
I just received my Oreo’s coupons in yesterdays mail.
2/22/10 Meijer in Blgdle had twin flannel bed sheets for $5 a set.
I subscribed to get Red Eye and I don’t get the coupon inserts or any inserts for that matter. It depends on where you live in IL, I’m in Glen Ellyn so I doubt you would get it in Lombard.
I just started getting the RedEye last week. I didn’t get any inserts. Just a very small paper.
I have gotten the Red Eye in Mt Prospect for ages. NO inserts whatsoever. BUT the Hoy (the Spanish version) shows up magically free in the parking lot and it DOES have the inserts, even though they are the smaller, worse ones.
I think the inserts only show up in RedEye in Chicago proper — at least that’s been my impression?
I got 5 free oreo coupons.
2/23 Anyone know if the BC Potatoes are still 5/$3 get $3 OYNO back in INDIANA?
My understanding is that if you get the Sunday Tribune, you don’t get the inserts in the Red Eye. Someone else mentioned that awhile back, which explains why I was the only one in my Chicago apartment building that didn’t get those inserts – I thought for sure that my newspaper deliverer had it in for me.
I tried 3 different types of AnyTizers today (Honey BBQ, BBQ style wings, and Buffalo Style boneless wings) and they all produced the $3 everytime. Has anybody tried the other types that have cheese in them?
Hi ,
Can anyone tell me how much are the anytizers in Jewel?
Thanks
meg, the small boxed AnyTizers are $2.99……… (I don’t think the bags are working for the $3 YourBucks printout)
Thank you Tammi.
For the Special K deal, I still had a couple of the B1G1 Special K coupons, so I got two boxes of cereal and two yogurts for $1.00
