Big favor: If you mention other sites, online coupons, etc, please include the link. Disclaimer: All of the deals below come straight from readers.

Costco

Coupons

  • Some potentially ink-saving information from Cindy V.:  “I printed several of the coupons. The Pepsi coupons have wording that state “Good only at Food Lion.” Tostitos, Kingsford, Clorox and Glad don’t have that wording that I could see, though they do have the logo. I didn’t print any others.”

Daily deals

Dominick’s

  • A Catalina alert from Kitty:  ” Buy Bob Evans refrigerated side dishes between 12/31/12 and 1/27/13 and save up tp $4 OYNO:  Buy 2 get $2;  Buy 3 get $3;  Buy 4 or more get $4.”
  • For the Classico deal, Paula M recommends:  “Should also check for the 10% Pasta Sauce under Personlized Deals to sweeten the deal. Mine is good through 1/29/2013″
  • But Kim reminds us:  “Just an FYI – it only comes off one item once per transaction. So it will take off $.19 cents, but I have the 10% too and .19 cents is .19 cents! Lol…”
  • Laura found:  “Dominicks at Arlington Hts road and Palatine has the large bottles of coffee mate pumpkin flavor, and large bottles of sugar free Peppermint cream on clearance for .99, and I had a catalina for $1.50 off of two bottles, so 2 large pumpkin for .25 each. The catalina machine printed another $1.25 of 2 when I was checking out, so I went back and got more. They also have small bottles of Bailey’s Gold cheesecake flavor clearanced for .50. There are $1 q’s for the Bailey’s, and they let me use 1 of those for 2 bottles, so 2 free. These are not by the regular creamers, over two doors I think, and lots left.”

Hallmark

  • An idea from Kitty:  “Re: the $2 Hallmark coupon…last time they had this one, I used it at a free standing Hallmark store and was able to purhase 3-99c cards, and get the $2 off; so 97c + tax for 3 cards….not as good as free or a MM, but good to keep in mind since it doesn’t expire until 2/22/13.”

Hy-Vee

Jewel

  • Magda found:  “There is a $1 Skinny Cow candy coupon at lol.skinnycow.com They really make you work for it. Long process and connects to Facebook profile.
  • Stacey emails over a Kotex Natural Balance deal:  “Now I normally would never, ever buy tampons at Jewel, but I saw on their Kotex end cap, buy 2 get 1 free. So I bought 3 18-count tampon boxes, (each was 3.59). So after a free box and $2 cpn from coupons.com I get the pleasure of owning 54 tampons for $5.18. It’s just so much fun to be a girl :P ” She adds:  “BTGO Applied to pads too just not liners”

Kroger

  • Lisa shares:  “Even better price on Campbell’s Tomato or Chicken Noodle Soup can be found at Kroger (Bourbonnais Location-end of soup aisle ). They had a four pack for $1.50 and if you can find a coupon even better.” $.40/4 in the 1/13 SS. Print $1.00/5 here.

Mariano’s

  • For those who got the $1.00/1 Crescents coupon yesterday, Ruby Red says:  “At Mariano’s Pillsbury Crescent Rolls are on price drop for 1.99. Free crescents with the doubled coupon! There was no date listed as to when this price ends.”

Pest control

  • A tip from Julie:  “I have used cornmeal and have been successful in getting rid of ants that way too!! Just put a line out, sometimes even dumping a bit right near where the ants seemed to be coming from. And within a day–no ants!!”

Photography

  • Robin offers:  “My husband is a professional photographer and we have turned a lot of “big box” picture go-ers into repeat clients. We’ve been told once you have the experience and see the photos you understand the value. We are not againist big box retailers, it works for a lot of people, but many times when you compare what you get in retouching, quantity and quality of pictures the independent photographer rates are typically very reasonable. If anyone is interested they can checkout his Facebook page or website and see his portfolio and testimonials.”

Reader requests

  • A question from cj:  “I need some Trader Joes Tea Tree Shampoo and Conditioner but I do not live near a store. Does anyone know where I can score some? I looked online and they are charging double what I paid last time I bought it in the store. Looking to pay around $8 per bottle. Thanks!”

Resale

Walmart

  • Juli sends over:  “Just bought 15 oz jar skippy natural (creamy only) at Walmart Rd Lk Beach for $1.54 with $1.00 coupons on the jar. They expire 12/2013 and they have The Amazing Spiderman movie promo with a pic of Spidey on the label. They were on a special endcap in main aisle by P.B.”

Re: Tea Tree Shampoo and Conditioner: I use a Generic Value brand tea tree shampoo and conditioner that I buy at Sally’s Beauty Supply. So, if you live near a Sally’s, that might be a good option. I think the smaller bottles are in the neighborhood of $6.99 if not on sale. Last time, I stocked up when the bottles were on sale for $5 each and I had a 10% off coupon. The Generic Value brand tea tree shampoo and conditioner is supposed to be similar to Paul Mitchell’s tea tree shampoo and conditioner. Sally’s also carries a tea tree and lavendar shampoo and conditioner. I’ve tried just the tea tree and the tea tree and lavendar blend and I like them both. Hope that this helps. Sally’s might also let you order this online for a reasonable price? Not sure because I just go into the store.

Dominicks Deal/Mama Lucia Meatballs. I had $5.99 personalized price and they are on sale B1G1 free. Made for some reasonable meatballs. 2-38.4oz bags for $5.99 total.

I saw the Kreo mini packs at the Wheaton Target today in the Valentines section. They were $2.99 each.

Not sure where else to post this but I was at the Lake Zurich Target this evening and there were 5-6 packs of the microchargers in the seasonal Valentine’s Day section.

I was just at Aldi at Fullerton in the city and their hams were marked an additional $5 off. I got 2 butt portion hams approx 6 lbs each for $2 plus a little change. The shank portions were more like $5 after discount, but were larger, of course.

I was just at Dominicks and bought 2 of the 16 oz. italian fresh baked bread. The coupon(which I had added in JFU) makes them 99 cents each. Somehow after the computer took off the discounts I ended up with 2 loafs of warm bread for only 78 cents. This with no paper coupons so their computers mathmatics! Great deal!!!
