What is Bargains In a Box? Is it like a Big Lots?
It is a closeout store like Big Lots, but not as nice. Almost everything is stored in big appliance boxes and there are no shopping carts; you pull a box with a rope. It is very hit or miss. The majority of items are cleaning supplies and household goods, but it changes regularly. There is usually a box of Wilton baking items that sells for much less than the Wilton store. Oh, and the prices are color coded, with big signs on the wall explaining the codes (ex: green = 50 cents, blue = $1). I used to give the kiddos $2-$3 and let them buy whatever they wanted – they had to do the math:)
I got those rebate $1 coupons from Butterball too and they look like I printed them at home and made copies! I tossed my letter like a dummy but I am afraid to use them they look so fake!
Anyone else get those in the mail?
Yes, I got them last year and no one questioned them but I will hang on to the letter just in case. The turkey bacon went $1. or close to it at Jewel and $1.50 at Walgreens a lot. I went to Dominicks tonight and they were not $1. in Mundelein. $2.49. So I will wait for another deal.
I’m not sure where to put this, the Dominicks at Arlington Hts road and Palatine has the large bottles of coffee mate pumpkin flavor, and large bottles of sugar free Peppermint cream on clearance for .99, and I had a catalina for $1.50 off of two bottles, so 2 large pumpkin for .25 each. The catalina machine printed another $1.25 of 2 when I was checking out, so I went back and got more. They also have small bottles of Bailey’s Gold cheesecake flavor clearanced for .50. There are $1 q’s for the Bailey’s, and they let me use 1 of those for 2 bottles, so 2 free. These are not by the regular creamers, over two doors I think, and lots left.

I need some Trader Joes Tea Tree Shampoo and Conditioner but I do not live near a store. Does anyone know where I can score some? I looked online and they are charging double what I paid last time I bought it in the store. Looking to pay around $8 per bottle. Thanks!
