  • Jen asks: “I bought all the kohls appliances last week with the intent to donate. Other than Goodwill, does anyone have a good suggestion? Or family in need?”

  • Lisa in Hot Holiday Deals shares: “Today’s Target Cartwheel offer is 40% off women’s clothing. There is also a $5 off of $25 coupon on the Target site to stack.”
  • Outlander reports: “Here is what the Target lady told me on Amazon or any online price matching- They will only price match one item and not more of the same kind. For example I could buy only one Epic and no more at that price, but I could buy Epic and Croods, because they are 2 different items. Also, the item has to be in stock online when they check it, and can’t have any special requirements with it.”
  • Mindy on Facebook found: “Wheaton Target had a bunch of these 24.5oz containers of fruit for $.32 (price on the shelf!) I bought most of them but left a few! Oranges, Pineapples, and peaches”

  • Jill sends over: “Just a heads up on a little Minecraft deal at Wags this week. The Minecraft Figure with Accessory (pg 12 of “Happy & Healthy catalog) is on sale for $9.99. Use the $4 off coupon on the front of the weekly flier to make the guy $6. He is going on Amazon for $14.95. I checked about 4 Walgreens in my area for this toy with no luck until I finally spoke with a manager who told me which area Wags got them.
  • A report from julie: “I was able to find the diabetes magazine with the $5 coupon and did the Vitamelts. I let the cashier know she would need to enter the coupon at $4.99 instead of $5 and she did with no problems.”

  • Josiegm advises on the Lego/Duplo building kits: “Check the price at your store first. I picked up three of these yesterday at the store for $15 each.”

If you got a Harry and David’s catalogue today/recently check it for a little insert that has 2 free shipping codes on it (unique codes). Today they are still having a cyber sale with truffles for $14 and larger gift sets for $29 and of course pears for $19 (better than living social deal with code). You can only use one code per order so today is a good day to buy because the actual prices are 25-50% off.

You should look into donating the items to a local school or library in your area that takes holiday donations. Also, I work at a non-profit daycare center that has many families in need. You should look into organizations of this kind in your local area!

Jen should google social service organizations in her area as so many folks need these items. In Mchenry Co. IL Pioneer Center is a great organization to donate to.

In the western burbs we have an organization called the Sharing Connection that helps individuals and families get set up in their homes or help them recover after things like a fire. They would love new appliances.

My sons want a PS4 , preferably from Target , since we have so many gift cards from there. Any advice on how to find one actually in stock before Christmas? Can you tell your kids Santa ran out of a toy?
