Aldi

  • Debbie reports: “I also got a 3 pack of green peppers for $1.49 and some were huge! I don’t know if that’s their everyday price or not.”

Amazon

  • For the $5 credit, Artie says: “One more thing…You have to allow your device to allow installations from “unknown sources” in order to install Amazon App store and download an app. I suggest you revoke permission as soon as you get your gift. Otherwise unknown crap is going to show up on your device. I just learned the hard way :{ This was on a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 tablet”
  • He adds: “It worked fine. Got the credit from Amazon within a minute or two. One caveat though: The promotional credit must be used by January 31, 2014.”
  • And Emily clarifies: “The $5 credit is for the Amazon app store, not for Amazon.com, unfortunately!”

Coupons

Dominck’s

  • On Sunday, Rich reported: “I was nearby the Romeoville store so I did stop by tonight. Sorry to say that it is mostly empty except for 1 aisle with a few misc items on it and the two displays with greetings cards still in them. I think that they are done.”
  • Mary on Facebook says, as of Monday: “Mundelein Dominicks’s still has many Hallmark cards left for 75% off. Only one aisle of odds and ends. Small amount of produce. Deli had large hunks of cheese in original wrap. Large hunks of unsliced deli meats in original wrap. They also had Roasted Chickens, Meatloaves in the deli nice and hot. Very little frozen foods, probably gone now.”

Groupon

  • An Aeropostale idea from boce: “There is also a $25 off $100 coupon or. Combine all that in show and you could come home with sack fulls. I didn’t know about theGroupon, used the coupon and spent around $75 for 2 pairs of jeans, a pair of sweats, a sweatshirt, a pair of Flannel pj bottoms, 2 thermal shirts, and a body spray— less than $10 per item.”

Meijer

  • From mollie w.: “For those of us having trouble using our Target web coupons at Meijer you can contact Shanthi, corporate cust. service at 1-877-363-4537 and she will call your store. You should be able to use them. Good Luck.”

Product reviews

  • From Mandy: “I haven’t tried this Finish, but their Quantum works better for me than any of the brands I’ve used since they removed phosphates. We have Chicago water.”

Target

  • Sarah shares: “$.37 Gevalia K-Cups at Target: Right now there is a 25% off offer on cartwheel for Gevalia K-Cups, size 18 count. In my store they are $10.99 each. So, if you use the cartwheel the price is lowered to $8.24 and then with the $1.50/1 available as a printable or in the 12/15 SS you pay $6.74 for 18 or $.37 per K-Cup. Not a bad price if you need K-Cups or like Gevalia.”

So I was thinking of doing some after Christmas shopping this year. Which stores have the best deals? And do you go right away the next day or do you wait awhile? Thanks!

Most of Target’s holiday stuff is at 50% off. I bought next year’s teacher gifts already – throw pillows. Old Navy had a few good deals, but jeans weren’t their best price. Both Target and Meijer have toys on clearance.

Also, want to mention – please repost this! – that I was able to use my Dom’s Campbell’s OYNO at the Bloomingdale Meijer today without question. She said that since it’s a Manufacturer coupon, and clearly states on there that it is, they’ll take it.

Target in Bolingbrook was pretty picked over already, but Christmas decorations were 50% off, candy still at 30% off. Meijer by 355 had very little left in the Christmas decoration dept, whilst the other still had a few aisles left at 50%. Also, the Meijer on Boughton/Weber had various boys character hoodies (Lego Chima, Ninja Turtles, Superman, etc) for $10 (50% off)

Menards in Bolingbrook had very little decorations left, and mostly at 40% off, with lights still being 20% off.

At the meijet on boughton and janes the employees are so rude and lack professional manners. They have such terriblt attitudes and they ha e denied me using target coupons or price matching! Even when it says on their website. Their produce is horriblt too. I try to avoid shopping there.

I’ve had issues at that store, but after I talked to corporate, one of the managers, Chad, called me and apologized. The cashiers there SHOULD know that they accept Target coupons. Since then, Meijer no longer price matches (since beginning of November).

I go there because it is the closest to my house, and my car only gets $17 MPG. :P

I went to Angelo Caputo’s in Bloomingdale today and they had some really nice Organic Romaine lettuce hearts for .99 for 3ct, Organic Broccoli for .49 lb., Organic Braeburn apples 3# for $2.49 and Organic Ambrosia apples 3# for $2.99. They also had clearance packages of Perdue ground chicken for $1.49 a 16 oz pkg.
