CVS
- Alloson on Facebook suggests: “”See if your CVS will take competitor coupons for prescriptions (I know the one in Bloomingdale will). Jewel and Walgreens both have prescription coupons on their website.”
Dominick’s
- Outlander comments: “Craisins are a great deal because they are in produce so you can use your $3/$15 Q from JFU too. And it’s even better if you have a personalized price on them.”
Fannie May
- Another code from feelgood: “There’s also a limited time Fannie May online promo code 25025 that offers 25% off and free shipping.”
Gift cards
- A tip from Megan N.: “Not sure if this has been posted before, but Thornton’s gas stations sell the iTunes gift cards for 20% off–I just bought some $15 ones for $12 each, but I’m pretty sure it’s good on any denomination.”
Kohl’s
- Paula shares: “Just a heads up-I stopped by kohls in oswego this morn, and they have clearance an additional 25% off the lowest marked price! And if u have an extra % off coupon, that makes for some awesome deals!”
Magazines
- Kristy was looking at Taste of Home and discovered: “When I put this in my cart, I got an offer of 12 issues of Better Homes and Gardens for $4.29. If you like Glade products, this magazine has coupons for it nearly every month.”
Menards
- Cindy reports: “Menards started their clearance on Christmas stuff, they are up to 40% OFF. I scored some department 56 houses. They sell these at Hallmark and I have only seen them on sale a couple times.”
- Anne found: “Also at Menards, Glad ForceFlex Tall Kitchen 13 Gal Bags 130 count for $13.49 ($0.104/bag), BUT to my surprise, there is a $3 rebate when you buy $10 of Glad products there, so the price drops to $0.08/bag. Awesome price for top garbage bags! Good until 12/24. Can do deal two times on one receipt.”
Target
- Jennifer shares: “I did successfully do this today at Target: One large box (40 ct I think) of Bagel Bites on Price Cut for $6.59 One large box of TGIF mozzarella sticks on Price Cut for $6.59 Used $5/2 MQ from the Town and Country ad (also in Ultra foods ad) – make sure you get the actual one from the ad, not off the website for Target’s coupon policy Used $4/2 TQ from the 12/9 SS = $4.08 for two big boxes of Appetizer like stuff! Went great with my $5/$30 grocery TQ as well. I know some people have been getting the $5/$25 frozen food purchase catalina, so this was another good idea for that!”
- Sandy wondered: “Are the movie codes on the GM cereals still good? I thought the codes had to be entered by 12/3.” And teresa responds that they are: “I entered codes for the General mills movie cash yesterday and i got my movie ticket.”
Toys
- To go with the $65 KidKraft Gracie kitchen, Charlotte recommends: “You can get nice felt food from Ikea for $7.99/set. They have fruit, vegetables, breakfast, salmon and a cake set. Much nicer than the cheap plastic, especially when you step on it
” - Lindsey sends over: “I found a deal on Amazon today. Just dance Disney and just dance 4 are $10 off with Amazon mom account and code DANCEMOM – which makes Disney just 9.99. All these games also have free one day shipping.”

Im loving the Menard’s garbage bag deal – I will get the total cost with F.A.R. at $50 and use my $5 off $50 coupon that came in the Chic. Trib at the beginning of the year.
Anyone else use competitor coupons on prescriptions at CVS? I wonder what coupons they actually take… good stuff!!!
They take walgreens meijer and jewel osco’s ad for the $25 when you transfer but they give a huge hassle about it and they said they no longer pm generics to walmart or target so you are better to flip between meijer and jewel since they both match and meijer runs those $20 onyo when you transfer coupons and jewel has the gift card promo
In response to the cereal box movie codes, posters on totallytarget.com said it’s 12/6 2013 – next year! I thought they were expired also
Double check the year on your boxes.
In the 11/4SS the specialty marked boxes of cereal are pictured next to the coupon for $1/3 for those who are looking also fine print states codes must be entered by December 6 2013, tickets will expire 60 days from the date they are issued online. Hope that helps!
Just an FYI if anyone has wondered about what happens if you redeem points at Walgreens and then later return the item you purchased with redeemed points. In that situation, you get the part that you actually paid back in cash or credit card (however you paid for it) and the dollar equivalent of the points that you redeemed is put on a Walgreens gift card for you to use. I redeemed 40,000 points for a $50 value to buy an electronics item, and I now have a $50 gift card to use at Walgreen’s and the part that I paid was credited back to my credit card. It is great to know that you don’t lose the value of the points if you redeem them and then return the item! And now I can have the joy of spending those points all over again using my gift card!!
Cvs does take prescription coupons from jewel etc. I just got a prescription from cvs and brought in the jewel ad for 25.00 GC and they gave me a 25.00 cvs GC with no problem. I already redeemed it at jewel for 25.00 GC but you need to get 3 more pres filled from jewel to get the other 25.00. so this way i only had to bring in 1 more pres to get 25.00.
