CVS
- A tip from Sarah for anyone still planning to grab some cheap cereal: “Just an FYI: If your manufacturer coupon for Kellogg’s is like mine, it is for $1/2 cereals 10 oz. or larger, so that means it only works if you get two boxes of corn flakes and not one box of each because the Rice Krispies box is just a 9 oz. box.”
Dollar Tree
- Some observations from Kim C.: “Dollar tree in north aurora is HUGE!!! They have Palmolive dish soap, soft soap body wash and hand soap, Advil 6 ct. Nivea lip gloss, hefty slider bags (13 ct) and lots of bars of soap (jergens, dial, zest, Irish spring) not sure if they are 2 or 4 ct. Most of these have coupons in various inserts that make them next to free!!!”
Dominick’s
- A heads up from Mary: “I bought the 100ct Kleenex today at Dominick’s and I did not see the .50 coupon discount come off my bill, even though I had loaded the coupon the day before. I was charged .79.
“ - Brenda found: “The Dom. in Woodridge has bags of chocolate (summer exp. dates) marked down to 1.99 in the produce area. I found $1/2 peelies (a couple left on the Milky Way packs) so $1.50 candy bars. 11 oz fun size”
Food 4 Less
- Charlotte posts on Facebook: “Food4Less now carries more organic products plus they have a $1000 sweepstake. Only need to enter once. I like those sweepstakes
)” - She also says: “They also have $1.67 Skippy PB. Not sure if you can combine with the Centrella ad coupon (my store is picky about coupons), but worth a shot, no?”
Jewel
- A find from rachel: “Just found ekobrew cups clearanced at the Jewel at Clark/Catalpa in the city for $3 each.”
Meijer
- From boce: “I picked up antibiotic last night and Meijer, and my eye caught an end cap of Meijer children’s liquid Ibuprofen on clearance. Price was $1.17. I think. This was Meijer St. Charles.”
- Kevin shares: “Visit the Meijer mPerks website, then enter “meijerbrandjan13″ in the OFFER CODE box and the following coupons appear that are valid through February 9, 2013. (The mperks do not appear on the front page after you enter the code, so to browse through the pages to see them around page 4-5, depending on how many coupons you have already clipped).

Reader requests
- Becky asks: “Does anyone know if the Fiat Mart Ministry store that used to be in Algonquin is up and running at a different location yet? They had to shut down in I think it was September and were looking for a different location. Or, does anyone know of another store that is like that, where they have donated items from local stores at a large discount? Thanks so much!!”
- Laurie on Facebook asks: “”I am looking for a dog food to feed my dog since she was on Beneful and I took her off since seeing the article. Any suggestions?”
- Charlotte responds: “We feed our dog Taste of the Wild. I have never seen a coupon for it, and it is expensive compared to the grocery store brands, but we need less (2 cups per meal) and it is grain free. We do pair it with $ off coupons at Pet Supplies Plus, which they regularly send us in the e-mail.”
Ultra Foods
- For anyone shopping tonight, maggie says: “A little late, but I only made it to Ultra today to get some Skippy. I was able to use the coupons that have been floating around at Jewel ($1.50 off produce wyb 2 Skippy). Since the Ultra in-store coupon lets you use two of those in one transaction, I got 2 pb and a nice discount on my produce!”
Visa Signature
- Sandy’s experience: “I’ve been buying the $25 in Fandango Bucks for $20 using a Visa Signature Card for quite a few months. I love this promotion. I have the AMC Stubs rewards card, so I pay no fee for my AMC fandango movie tickets. I also accumulate rewards using my AMC stubs card. I get $10 to spend at AMC on my Stubs card for every $100 I spend and the full value of my Fandango Bucks count (not just the 80% I paid). If you are not sure if you have a Visa Signature card you can put your number in on the site and it will tell you. I have 3 signature cards and they all say Signature on the front. I have Bank of America, Chase, and Citi Signature Cards.”
Walgreens
- An idea from melissa: “the quaker instant win giveaway coupon ($1/2 quaker products) works on the new quaker yogurt bars that are 2 for $1 at walgreens, making them free. Better yet, if you buy 8 and use four coupons, you get 250 points, making it a tiny money maker.”

Dog food requests: I use this website when deciding on a new dog food: http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com/dog_food_reviews/ If you’re in Chicago’s western suburbs, Two Bostons in Naperville and Natural Pet Market sell good quality dog food and treats. Pet Supplies Plus sells Innova Evo which is considered a high quality food however, it was too rich for my Pomeranians, so you also have to see what works best for your dogs.
Quaker yogurt bars at Walgreens are 250 points when you buy 4, not 8.
That Quaker contest is no longer giving out free codes. But if you want to get the $1/2 Quaker coupon, you can try using the codes they sent me earlier, and see if that works at http://resolutionrewards.quakeroats.com:

Thanks. Codes still work for coupon.
I am confused about the quaker codes. I clicked on the url and it took me to a place to input 3 upc codes, but then spit me to the page to sign up with all my info. Is this not working anymore? Just curious
Laurie: I was also going to recommend (as Christina did) Two Boston’s in Naperville—they are extremely knowledgeable about dog food, and only allow specific ingredients in their store. Another one is Wags to Whiskers in Plainfield. These places can help you find a good food for your dog and help with the transition. Two Boston’s often has sample packs you can bring home and have your dog try.
Some dry foods I like: Fromm, Now!, Taste of the Wild. My dogs also love Stella and Chewy’s dehydrated raw food, which I reconstitute with a little water.
Anyone else having problems uploading recipiets on endorse? I keep getting a message that my camera is not ready!
There is a new update that fixes the problem. I had to turn my phone off and back on for it to prompt for the update today.
Look for some party clearance stuff at Meijer. I found 144ct 9in balloons for $0.59 (from $5.99), small party napkins for $0.37, plastic tablecloths $0.37, 14ct party cups $0.37… Look on the endcap by the greeting cards and gift bags and other party stuff.
Massive clearance underway at jewels in the area…..they were redoing all the shelves and pulling lots o product to put on clearance racks, turkey bringing kits were $4, bob’s organic unbleached flour $4, sushi rice $4, lots of archway cookies for a $1 or less, cake mixes and frosting for .50c…..too much to list, bought wine and used the $10 to get a bunch of freebies…..County farm rd and ATroad and at Barrington and Schaumburg roads……more than a half an isle of clearance at the latter………have fun.
Also feed my dogs taste of the wild. One has allergies and it helps tremendously. Also, no filler means you feed them less therefore less poop! Always find q’s on the back of grocery store receipts like jewel and caputos for pets supply plus . Well worth it.
Dominicks and issues w/J$U coupons and/or special pricing NOT coming off is a CONSTANT issue at the Morton Grove, IL store. I have even carried printouts (wasting MY time and ink) but I still am required to go to the service desk . That is a MAJOR waste of my time.
I have filed many complaints w/Dominicks corp and nothing has been resolved-just get the emails back wsaying sorry, we’ll look into it.
My next complaint will be to the FTC. Tired of being treated like dirt.
If anyone is still holding onto some of the Milky Way coupons, the CVS in Oak Park had the Milky Way caramel bars on clearance for 29 cents yesterday. I’m not sure if that’s true at all stores. I had to back slowly away to keep from buying them all
savingaddiction.com has a list of matchups to go with the mperks coupons that go with code meijerjan13. I hope this helps someone.
