Here are some notes of interest to couponers from the 3/17/13 Chicago Tribune, including some coupons and values that differ from the previews. Note that store ads and flyers can vary by location depending what stores are near you and what they decide to put in your paper.

*** There are TWO SmartSource inserts this week rather than the one listed in the previews, so don’t accidentally toss one.

  • Ulta Beauty ad has a coupon for $3.50/$10.00 (exclusions apply).
  • Toys R Us ad is advertising a LEGO Friends event Saturday March 23 12-2 PM. “Bring your friends and build a LEGO Friends wishing well.” Ages 5 and up. They also have a “spring savings pass” 30% off coupon good for select toys pictured on the page, including Imaginarium trains, train sets, and train tables, all UNO, Scrabble, Monopoly, Apples to Apples, and more. Lots of other sales, including the Cozy Coupe for $38.
  • In the 3/17 SmartSource with DirecTV on the front:
    • A whole slew of toy and game coupons, including another $2.00/1 Mr. Potato Head, on rollback for $5 at Walmart starting Sunday.
    • $1.00/1 new Grape Nuts Fit and $1.00/1 new protein blends — Great Grains honey, oats, & seeds or cinnamon hazelnut.
    • Dean’s coupons — $.50/1 gallon or two 1/2 gallons Dean’s milk. $.75/1 quart Dean’s half & half or whipping cream.
    • We did get the Free Duncan Hines flavor creations mix coupon.
    • $.50/2 Dole canned fruits. Use on the Catalina deal at Meijer if you run out of printables.
    • Did you notice the Jennie-O turkey bacon coupon now says 12-oz only?
    • Olive Garden coupons.
  • Carson’s is having its Goodwill sale through 3/30. Each item donated gets you a 25% off coupon. Earn triple coupons Sunday March 17.
  • The 3/17 SmartSource with Medieval Times on the front has:
    • Medieval Times: Buy one full price adult ticket get one free with code BGNAM through 4/30 Schaumburg location only.
    • Supercuts coupons.
    • $1.00/2 Dentyne or Trident gum. Should make for a nice drugstore deal at some point.
    • The $.75/1 French’s fried onions has no size restrictions.
    • $.50/4 Del Monte green beans.
    • We did get $.55/1 Claussen pickles, so yay. :)
    • Save $2.00 on chicken when you buy any two of the following products: Kraft dressing, Miracle Whip dressing, Kraft mayo, and/or Kraft BBQ sauce.
    • $.75/1 Kraft string or twist cheese 9-12 oz.
    • $1.00/2 No Yolks noodles.
    • There’s a $.50/1 manufacturer coupon for Tyson’s chicken nuggets etc. but it has a gratuitous Family Dollar logo on it.
    • $.75/2 Nestle Toll House morsels.
    • Harbor Freight coupons — 20% off a single item, free work gloves with any purchase, and more.
    • Fannie May retail stores coupon: Buy three get one free individually boxed cream eggs and chocolate bunnies.
  • The Walmart ad: Starburst Jelly beans are $1.98. Use $1.00/2 in the 3/10 RP. Blue Bonnet sticks, $.92. We’ve already talked about Mr. Potato Head. Playskool Heroes are $10.00 and there is a $2.00 coupon in the 3/17 SS or printable here. Laugh & Learn Puppy is $15.00 and you can print $5.00/1 here.
  • Look on the Target ad for a wraparound with various toy and Easter candy coupons.
  • The 3/17 RedPlum has:
    • Our Jimmy Dean sausage rolls coupon is $1.50/2.
    • We have another lame Folgers coupon: $.25/1!
    • There is a $.50/1 Keebler Fudge Stripes cookies. These are $1.97 with in-ad coupon at Dominick’s through Wed. or $1.48 on the buy six and they’re $1.48 each sale at Ultra through Wed. — so just $.98 at Ultra after coupon!
    • We got $.75/2 Domino sugar 2lbs+. The brown and powdered sugar have been going on sale for $1.99 regularly.
    • We got $1.00/2 Immaculate Baking products.
    • Baskin-Robbins coupons.

    The Target coupons are working today, so I used the 25% off Disney Item on Monsters Inc Collector’s Edition Dvd/ Blu-Ray combo pack thats on temporary price cut for 24.99. Paid $18.74
    Also used another one (separate transaction) on Mulan I & II Blu-Ray combo pack on temporary price cut for $22.99. Paid 17.24.
    I also used the $5 off My Little Pony Princess Cadance this morning cause it’s also on price cut for $16.99. Only paid $11.99
    Today is the last day for these particular price cuts. Yay for getting the paper early Saturday morning!
