Here are some notes of interest to couponers from the 2/3/13 Chicago Tribune, including coupons and values that differ from the previews. Note that ads and flyers can vary by location depending what stores are near you and what they decide to put in your paper.

  • Harbor Freight ad has free Pittsburgh tape measure with any purchase, 20% off a single item, and various other coupons.
  • Check your 2/3 RedPlum for:
    • Baskin Robbins coupons.
    • $1.00 off 1lb+ Sara Lee meat at the service deal or package of pre-sliced meat in the deli section.
    • Target ad: Get a free $5.00 Target gift card when you buy four selected Axe products see in-store for specific details.
    • Popeye’s coupons.
    • $5.00 off DermaSilk.
    • Our Hungry Jack syrup coupon is $.55/1.
    • Subway coupons on the back.
    • I have a one-page KFC flyer with various coupons.
    • One page Steak & Shake coupon flyer.
  • The 2/3 SmartSource has:
    • $2.00/1 any K-Y brand product excludes trial. If you get your paper today, K-Y ultra gel is $5.99 at Walgreens with $5.99 RR back. Also, K-Y jelly runs about $2.99 at Target. If you got the hit or miss 1/6 Target J&J insert, there is a $1.00/1 K-Y Target coupon expiring today 2/2 to stack with this for more free K-Y.
    • Cold Stone Creamery coupons.
    • Walgreens coupon for FREE Poise body cooling towelettes 20 ct limit one per customer. Good 2/3-2/16.
    • Filtrete mail-in rebates.
    • Boston Market coupons.
    • $1.00/1 Barilla microwaveable meal. Two coupons, different exp. dates. Load a $1.50 price on Dominick’s Just for U through Wed. (limit 2) and get them for $.50.
    • Our Colgate paste coupon was $.50 off any 4oz+.
    • Our Speed Stick coupons are $.50/1 regular and $1.00/1 Power.
    • Hey, another Harbor Freight ad with more coupons. This time you get a digital multimeter with any purchase, plus a 20% off one item and other coupons.
    • The back has a $42 eye exam at VisionWorks coupon.
  • The JC Penney ad is advertising clearance on the back. Huh. Is that a “sale?” — anyway: Fall coats for her, $24. Ambrielle bras, $7.00. See jcp.com/clearance.
  • The Macy’s ad has a Wow pass for 15% off select sale and clearance home items.
  • The Family Dollar ad has store coupons: Buy All Liquid 80-82 loads get a free Clorox bleach. Select Glad trash bags, $3.50. 1 Gallon Hawaiian Punch, $2.00. They’re also advertising 11.4-12.6 oz M&Ms for $2.00 limit 4 (use $1.50/2 in the 1/27 RP). Irish Spring body wash or 6 pack bar soap, $3.00 (use $1.00/1 in the 1/20 SS). 14 oz Ajax dish liquid, $.88. Oreos, $2.00. Glad food storage bags, $1.25 with in-ad coupon limit 1.
  • Page 5 of the front section has a Macy’s Wow Pass for 15% off select sale and clearance fashion and fine jewelry and 10% off watches.
  • Page 24 of the front section has a Fannie May coupon for 20% off Valentine’s Day pre-packed chocolate hearts and boxes 1lb and larger valid through 2/9 at participating retail shops.

    Re: JC Penney. Yes, it’s a sale. Their No Sale policy was a miserable failure.

    I’ve been loving the JCP clearance sales the last couple weeks. Picked up workout wear, jackets, boots, toys, a lamp, kids’ clothes all at really good prices. Of course, the good prices are because their new strategy was a failure, but I’m liking it!
