New Procter and Gamble cookware rebate — Jewel and other stores

Clare sends over yet another P&G rebate, “Cooking Up Early Detection,” and this one good only at participating stores. Put in your ZIP and it will show you participating stores near you — under my ZIP it showed Jewel (but only certain Jewels, and none of the ones nearest my house), Valli Produce, and H-Mart. After you put in your ZIP, click “see offer” next to your store of choice. Offer dates vary by store, so check your preferred store and see. Jewel looks like 10/11-10/24, and Valli 9/27-10/25. Purchase $30 participating P&G products in one transaction and receive a pink cookware set from Good Cook’s Hope line by mail. Limit one per household. See rebate for participating brands.

When I put in a near by zip, 2 participating stores showed up that have not been open in years. How strange.
I got no stores in your area. But then it had an alphabetical list of participating retailers and when I clicked on Jewel a rebate form pdf came up. It does not say specific stores so I wonder if any store works?
Is the $30.00 before or after coupons?
I’ve never had any trouble sending in P&G rebates pre-coupon.
Anyone come up with any good scenarios?
