Here’s a deal you can do with the 20% off $15 or more in participating frozen foods store coupon in the 2/21 Dominick’s ad. There’s a Catalina running on MorningStar through 2/24:
- Buy Morningstar Farms veggie foods products between 1/28/13 and 2/24/13 and save up to $4.00 OYNO: Buy 3 get $2; Buy 4 get $3, buy 5 or more get $4.
So: MorningStar is $3.50 this week, which drops to $2.80 each after 20% off coupon (when you buy $15 or more.) See the full list of participating frozen foods in the weekly Dominick’s deals writeup here. For simplicity’s sake, we’ll pretend we’re buying five MorningStar, but you could mix/match with other items.
5 x $3.50 = $17.50
-20% (-$3.50)
-$4 catalina
=$10 for 5, or $2 each
Thanks to BethP for correcting my scenario — I’m not focused right now!
(Thanks for the MorningStar pricing to Jill Cataldo)

Just got an email from Kelloggs yesterday with $1/1 morningstar
Wouldn’t it work out to be a better deal if you just bought five instead of six?

Yes, that will teach me to do math at midnight. Let me fix.
The new Mediterranean Chickpea burger did not trigger the Catalina last week. I bought 3 Chic patties 1 Med. Chickpea, but only got $2 cat.
It’s possible the UPC didn’t get entered because it was a new item. You can try contacting Catalina if you have time
Um, I think I got $6 in catalinas on this. I got a $4 and a $2 one. The $4 I didn’t get to see because the cashier just took it to pay for my second purchase. I thought, “oh, I got a $2 from something else that I wasn’t expecting” but when I look at it it is from Morning Star. I bought 5 boxes.
