Today on Plum District, they are featuring a Love with Food deal. I hadn’t heard of them before, but they sent over a sample box to review so I could tell you guys all about it! Good thing I can type with my mouth full, because this popcorn is to die for.
Everything in the box was great, although the masala tea took some getting used to and probably wouldn’t be for everyone, or everyday … Other than the Annie’s, all were products I’d never seen before, but now know to keep an eye out for.
So what’s the deal?
Today, pay $5 for a gourmet food box from Love with Food (normally $10). When you redeem on their site, you’ll be charged another $2 shipping and signed up for their monthly program — but can cancel at ANY time with no penalties.
Each month you’ll get a new sample box including 8 or more gourmet foods — mine is pictured above, but contents will always vary. You earn points on their site by leaving feedback on the products, and also get exclusive discounts to the full-sized products if you find something you love. But the best part:
- For every box sold, they donate a meal to several food banks such as the Feeding America Network and Share Our Strength – No Kid Hungry.
This is a neat way to try new products you might otherwise never have heard of, while also helping them help hungry kids.
On the auto-renew
I know some of you get nervous about auto-renew, so here’s the info straight up: “Monthly members can cancel their membership anytime. You monthly membership fee is auto-renewed on the 1st of every month. If you would like to cancel your subscription, please do so before 5PM PST on the last day of the month, otherwise you will continue to be billed for the next month… You will need to first log in to Love With Food here to cancel your subscription. Click on My Home. Then under My Account tab, click on My settings. Then click on View or Cancel Subscription to view your current subscriptions. Click on ‘cancel’ to stop your subscription. You just made us CRY ”
I received product to review from Plum District/Love with Food. All opinions in this post, however, are my own.
