Rachel:
At my Kroger the restriction is five “like” coupons accepted per day. I had several coupons for Nature Valley Chewy bars that had expiration date of 9/8 AND another set of coupons for Nature Valley Chewy bars that had expiration date of Sept. 29 – both for the same kind of product, BUT different coupons because of the expiration date on them plus the fact that they came from different papers from different weeks. Do you know what is meant by Kroger for five “like” coupons – 1. is it coupons that are the same with respect to PRODUCT only (so then I could use two of the 9/8 one and three of the 9/29 one, making it five “like” coupons for the SAME product or 2. or use the 9/8 coupons that are alike because they have the same expiration date and then use the 9/29 coupons (same product though for both sets of coupons) (the 9/8 and the 9/29). I ask because the woman there told me that I couldn’t use the last coupon because she says “only five ‘like’ coupons per day”, and I asked her “even though this coupon has a different expiration date than the other ones?” – she gave it back to me. Any information you have will be of great help – even if you have to point me to somewhere else for answers. Thanks.
I can’t find an official policy on their site, but a couple of regional policies I found online do say 5 coupons per product, not “like” coupons. For instance: http://savingslifestyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/Kroger-Double-Coupon-Policy.jpg
